Location:
The accommodation is located in Rio Tavares, a cozy place next to Campeche. I stayed in a small apartment with terrace and cooking space. The house has 2 floors, 2 apartments and a patio with parking. Amazing beach and sand dunes are only 5 walking minutes away. There are no hotels around, so it's not overcrowded.
Training ground:
BJJ dojo is located few minutes away by car or bike. Keep in mind - this is not a camp but a regular dojo. You can train multiple times a day (except Sat with open mat only and on Sun the dojo is closed) and it's suitable for all levels.
People:
All the trainers from whom I had the pleasure to learn have a high degree of expertise and are also very nice people. Not everyone, but the majority of the trainers speaks English. However you start understanding quickly the key words and the trainers as well as other students make sure that you understand properly what to do. Within the group the atmosphere is also great and sometimes something like a BBQ, beers or other events take place. The host of the flat (Rodrigo) is a cool and very kind guy, who cares about your wellbeing during the stay and is a great BJJ and surfing enthusiast.
Area:
Rio Tavares is a nice place It's located centrally and you can reach all areas of the island easily by car (if there is no traffic jam). In general Floripa is just beautiful - full of beaches, hiking trails, good restaurants and it's very safe.
I enjoyed Floripa, BJJ and very nice people!
