The school is located in scenic Jima Village just inside the Yulong Ecological Park, only a few minutes away from the center of Yangshuo. Jima Village lies at the entrance to the renowned Yu-long scenic area renowned for its famous Karst mountain scenery.
There is a beautiful route winding its way along the Yu-long river dotted by small farming villages, fields of rice, and yellow flowers. Jima Village sits in a small valley surrounded on all sides by Karst mountains with rice fields dominating the base of the valley.
It is connected to Yangshuo with a good quality road running both into Yangshuo Town and into the Yu-Long scenic area.
The village is small and peaceful and offers some small local shops, which is convenient for students to buy some daily supplies.
During this training, you will enjoy three daily delicious and locally sourced meals. Tai Chi, like Chinese medicine, is all about balance. Good health is maintained by, among other things, the ingredients which you take in as food and the way in which you expend energy.
The chef is a master of the wok and adheres to these principles. Every day, teachers and students enjoy a well-balanced diet cooked in the traditional Chinese style and made from ingredients which are sourced fresh every day from the local farmer's market.
Each meal contains a large choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Food is not just important for its ingredients, but also for the way you eat, and in China it is hard to imagine eating without sharing.
Everybody sits around the same table to share the ingredients of a meal eaten in common. Eating in China is a social event, so that while you will eat together with the group, share experiences from all walks of life, all ages, and every part of the world.
The school is located just outside of Yangshuo in a little village with numerous cafés and restaurants. Apart from the daily training and practice, you will have ample time to explore the surroundings.
