Tai Chi and Qigong Meditation Training in China

This two-day Taichi course provides customers an interesting experience about Taichi, a very old form of Chinese culture. The program includes two days course involving basic Taichi forms and theory. Taichi eighteen forms will be taught by Master Kim, who will teach patiently and correct any wrong movements. In intervals, Master Kim will explain the basic theory.

The school offers single, double, or family rooms with either shared or private bathrooms. All rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi. All rooms are cleaned regularly. The school also has a lively common area for students to gather. There is also a washing machine available which is free to use.


The price covers 8 hours' training altogether, two days' meals, and one night's stay. Apart from the training, you are going to have dinners with the master and practice your forms, which helps you to experience Chinese traditional culture.

You will have free time to explore. After class, you have plenty of time to explore the local villages. The location makes it convenient for you to visit or take a tour around the beautiful town.

The school offers training for all levels.

Classes last two days and include a warm-up and flexibility training, Qi Gong movements, meditation, and Tai Chi. The day is structured according to the following schedule:

  • 07:30 - 08:30 Breakfast
  • 09:30 - 11:30 Morning training
  • 12:00 - 13:00 Lunch
  • 15:00 - 17:00 Afternoon training
  • 18:00 - 19:00 Dinner

Students are welcome to use the facilities for exercise and self-practice outside of class times.

Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School is a traditional Tai Chi school in China, based in the beautiful area of Yangshuo, Guangxi province, China. The school is in a genuine Qing dynasty house in a small farming village at the entrance to the famous Yu-long scenic area.

Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School offers training to all levels of students from those wishing to take their first steps into learning Tai Chi with no previous knowledge. And those looking for a chance to refine and study under true Tai chi masters in China in a traditional old school environment. The school was established in 2012 by Master Wu Heng Dong (Kim Wu).

No matter man, woman, old, young, strong, or weak, anyone can obtain the skill and benefit from practicing Tai Chi. Whether your purpose is for health, bodybuilding, self-defense, or cultivating your inner harmony. Tai Chi has benefits for all.

The main focus at Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School is to develop skills in Chen Style Taichi, Tai Chi Qi Gong and Pushing Hands and weapons (staff, sword, broad sword, and fan). Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School also teaches Tai Chi Boxing, Yang Style 24, 42 Sword, 42 (Chen, Yang, Wu, Wŭ and Sun), and Southern-style Shaolin Gong Fu.

Tai Chi, like Chinese medicine, is all about balance. Good health is maintained by, amongst other things, the ingredients which you take in as food, and the way in which you expend energy.

The chef is a master of the wok and adheres to these principles. Every day teachers and students enjoy a well-balanced diet cooked in the traditional Chinese style and made from ingredients that are sourced fresh every day from the local farmers’ market. Each meal contains a large choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Food is not just important for its ingredients, but also for the way you eat, and in China, it is hard to imagine eating without sharing. Everybody sits around the same table to share the ingredients of a meal eaten in common. Eating in China is a social event, so while you eat together, you share experiences from all walks of life, all ages, and every part of the world.

Arrival by airport

Please book your flight to arrive at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL). There are regular buses (around 50 CNY) from the airport to Yangshuo as well as private taxis (around 320 CNY). If required, Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School can also book a taxi for you, please let Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School know in advance.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
