Qigong is a system of knowledge that comprises at least 5,000 years of human evolution and covers all the fields of human interest. It is officially known in China as the science of human potential and development. There are many styles of Qigong available so it is important to understand what makes White Tiger Qigong's style unique.

White Tiger Qigong are Taoist Qigong exercises that harmonize the body, breath, and mind. White Tiger Qigong specializes in extremely dynamic Qigong exercises known well in Wudang Mountain but has very little exposure in the west. The specialties include longevity Qigong, medical Qigong, Qigong breathing, Qigong meditation, and Qigong based martial arts.

In the White Tiger School, there are three types of Qigong that practitioners learn for a balanced program which fit together like pieces of a puzzle: sitting Qigong, standing Qigong, and dynamic Qigong.

Body, mind, and breath

In every type of Qigong, the body, mind, and breath are synchronized to become one. Whether moving, standing, or sitting, every exercise requires these three harmonies. When the body, mind, and breath become one, the spirit and the body can become unified.

Flexibility strength fluidity

A signature feature of this Qigong is that it trains the practitioner to become flexible, yet strong and fluid all at the same time. This is practiced in the dynamic Qigong forms. Dynamic forms range from balancing, deep stretching in low stances, to spinal twists that are most often derived from animal forms and dragon movements.

Paths of Qigong

Qigong for health or medical Qigong

This path is for the practitioner whose aim is optimum health and self-healing. Healers and Chinese medicine doctors practice to enhance their ability to heal themselves and others typically practice medical Qigong. It is based on applied traditional Chinese medicine theory to the existing exercises, which then can be prescribed to a patient.

Martial Qigong

Martial artists who wish to enhance their martial power practice martial Qigong. The techniques can be applied to just about any martial art to increase the power of strikes, kicks, self-awareness, and energetic movement.

Maximum human potential Qigong (scholarly Qigong)

In ancient times, scholars, royalty, and the high class could afford Chinese medicine doctors so there was no need for medical Qigong. They could hire bodyguards so there was no need for martial Qigong. They practiced Qigong to explore the depths and capabilities of the human body. They wanted to know what their maximum human potential was. How far could they extend their Qi? How hot or cold could they make it? How strong and flexible yet fluid could they become?

Monk Qigong

This path of Qigong is for those who seek enlightenment with Qigong. In Taoist tradition, in order to attain enlightenment, they would first have to strengthen the body and be able to protect themselves so they practiced martial Qigong and Qigong for health. Once they reached a high level of those practices, they believed the body was prepared to attain enlightenment of the spirit.

This method of Qigong is beyond the scope of White Tiger Qigong as it requires the practitioner to live a life of seclusion from society. If a student has reached a proficient level of Qigong in the above-mentioned paths, they will introduce you to some monks in China who can guide you down this path.

What are the benefits of this Qigong?

  • Better sleep
  • Enhance concentration
  • Improve digestion
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion
  • Increase strength and stamina
  • Increase sexual energy
  • Relax the mind
  • Strengthen the immune system

Qigong can be dangerous without proper guidance

Many beginners are learning very advanced techniques of Qigong from books and videos that are known to be dangerous if not practiced correctly such as micro-cosmic orbit and others. You need a teacher who can answer your questions as you move along. What if you have some unusual Qi feelings and you need to discuss with a master what it means?

It takes time and guidance to understand both the energetic and physical properties of Qigong. You are suggested to use the videos as a study guide to what they have learned in person and not learn new Qigong from a video. Also, some people posting videos on Youtube have very little experience or are not qualified to even be teachers.

White Tiger Qigong

A complete holistic training method

White Tiger Qigong has a truly unique, fully integrated, and holistic system of training of Baguazhang and Qigong. In ancient times, many traditional Taoist masters were trained in Qigong, martial arts, and healing. Nowadays, it is hard to find a fully integrated system. White Tiger Qigong offers this training to create a truly complete training program. Ultimately, the goal for this system of internal arts is health and longevity as it is a physical, mental, and spiritual elixir.

A unique Qigong training system

Most Qigong training systems taught in the west are incomplete systems from that do not train a full spectrum of Qigong. Too often you will see teachers only teaching light standing Qigong methods. A complete Qigong training method will involve fully dynamic movements that provide deep stretching and strengthening Qigong exercises. Practices such as standing Qigong and sitting Qigong are also key elements, but not the end all. They fit together like a puzzle.

“Flow like water, dance like fire,” Tevia tells his students. White Tiger’s principles is that each person contains Yin and Yang, which equates to water and fire. The body must be able to move flowing and fluid like water, but when there is Yang, that needs to be released with fiery explosive Qigong movements.

Modern science meets traditional arts

Tevia Feng has sought to bridge modern science with ancient, traditional training techniques. White Tiger Qigong offers a uniquely designed training system that teaches the practitioner time tested, traditional training methods and principles with modern scientific principles of human anatomy, modern exercise science, muscle fascia research, and more. White Tiger Qigong bridges the new and the old world like never done before.

Three stages of training with White Tiger Qigong

First you must heal yourself. This is the first stage. Healing is both on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Some people may already be in good health, but there are always areas that can be improved. Once you heal yourself, the next stage is transformation.

One of the goals in traditional Qigong is transformation. Through this training system, you learn how to transform your emotions. By learning how to generate Qi and move it in the body on, you will transform your very physical existence. Through Qigong meditation, you are able to transform your thoughts, beliefs, and on the highest level, your spirit.

Maximum human potential

Once you have transformed yourself, you may want to explore your maximum human potential. The system of training allows you to explore your maximum human potential on many levels.

White Tiger Qigong teacher training versus others

There is a lot of other teacher training out there, but not all are created equal. This teacher training is designed to into depth into two Qigong forms. In this way, the student can explore all aspects of the form and ingrain it into their body on a deeper level.

A lot of other teacher training out there try to cram in too many Qigong exercises, forms, and information leaving the student confused and frustrated. By simplifying the process and going deep with a few forms, this stays in alignment with the traditional way and Tevia Feng's principles of quality over quantity.

  • Review by Arpi Pergher from Switzerland

"I was looking for a combination of Qi Gong training and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment. Due to my network search, I found Tao Chi flow and knew this was the perfect combination and yet in my beloved tropics, Bali. From the first moment Tevia and I first met, the chemistry fit. We reviewed my needs and goals and started with a two week daily Qi Gong training combined with Acu-Ssage massages. Tevia works with a clear and serious structure, he corrects, repeat always with a laugh and space for questions. His expertise is more than impressive. He remains permanently focused on the needs and learning objectives, and leads day by day deeper into their own energy work. That means: daily a progress. Tevia’s teaching work is far from pseudomonas school hours in Qi Gong. He goes much further and every person who is sensitive to such an energy work can be simply very happy with Tevia as a master. After two weeks training working with Tevia, we were able to significantly reduce my discomfort, which of course makes me very happy and motivated. I am aware that two weeks is a very short time, not enough. So we have an optimisation potential that is on me which is a regular Qi Gong exercise and the goal is, if I would have the opportunity, I would simply book the next flight to Bali and ask Master Tevia for another 60 to 90-day training in Qi Gong and Acu-Ssage massage. That would be great!"

"Tevia is such a gifted Qi Gong teacher. He walks his talk and knows his art. Whether you are new to Qi Gong or have been practicing for years, Tevia will meet you where you are and help you to deepen your practice. My wife said I was glowing after every session and in a couple months, I was able to learn a few series of movements that will improve my health for a lifetime. This has been a life-changing practice and I am now in the best shape of my life!"

  • Review by David Wilson from United Kingdom

"My initial reasons for wanting to study and practice Qi Gong were to support my own rehabilitation post-knee surgery, whilst pursuing my desire to train in a dynamic mind-body-centered practice that had a respected and sound moral code, and which would also provide tools to center and quieten the mind. Having researched different styles of Qi Gong, I took a detour on my travels specifically to study - Medical Qi Gong - under the tutelage of Tevia Feng. The array of positive benefits and enjoyment I experienced on a personal level has led me to extend my stay and train to become an instructor. Tevia is, without a doubt, a gifted master, whose passion and dedication to his chosen path, including his commitment to constantly refine and deepen his practice, is infectious. His knowledge, patience, openness, and approach-ability, combined with his grounded and humbleness make him, in my opinion, an exceptional teacher who I hold with only the highest regard. I leave our time spent together a more well-rounded individual and I look forward to continuing and developing my studies with him in the future. "

  • Review by Thea Fruelund Nejsum from Finland

"For years, I have known of the word Qi Gong but never really known what it was. So about six months ago, I discovered it via Youtube. I have just tried it few times but I must say I am amazed how direct I feel the effect and connection with both the movements and the energy. I have tried yoga and Tai Chi and I do meditation (which is real good), but this is the first time I feel connected to a style. I feel it is my thing. I am excited about it and I want to learn and understand more. Master Tevia was a fun, patient, and great teacher. I really enjoyed the Qi Gong training. I have a dream to become a fully certified White Tiger Qi gong instructor."

  • Review by Jim Angell from United Kingdom

"I attended Tevia's Qi Gong course at the Yoga Barn at the end of February this year. I'm happy to say that all your teaching stuck and I now practice the snake form regularly. It was a brilliant course, I really enjoyed it and learned absolutely loads. It's changed the way I practice and I can already see improvements so thank you very much."

  • Review by Nadia Isaenko Moscow from Russia

"Tevia is one of the best teachers I met. I had several classes a week with him during July to August 2013. He is very talented as a teacher (and I know what I'm talking about). And, he is an amazing openhearted person. Every time after his class, my body and soul were vibrating and pouring with unconditional love, health, and strength! I'm very grateful for his profound work with me. Even after I stopped my classes and went to Moscow and was sucked into day-to-day life and didn't practice Qi Gong for almost six moths - Everything he taught me came back to me as soon as I started. And check out his book."

  • Review by Julie Francotte from Belgium

"I have been to China to train Qi Gong and Kung Fu, but Tevia's training was so much more detailed and thorough explanations that I never got before. I learned more in one day with him than one month in China. It was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely come back to train with Tevia again!"

  • Review by Alex Linsley from United Kingdom

"I’m Alex. I am from the UK and I have studied with Tevia in Bali for the last three months that I have been here. What has struck me through that time is that I feel that I have acquired a gift that I can leave Bali with. I have been taught how to work with myself so that I can use Qi Gong. Qi Gong is something that really nourishes me on a day-to-day level. I feel Tevia’s day-to-day teaching has made that really possible. I have learned a lot in the time that I have been here. I have acquired a valuable practice and most importantly, I have acquired a practice that I actively enjoy getting up to do. When I do it, I pick the exercises that feel right for me, the forms that feel right for me. I really notice the benefit in a really visceral way."

  • Review by Susanna Jakobsson from Sweden

"I was a project manager in Sweden and I wanted a career change. After studying Qigong for two years, I decided I wanted to become a teacher. During this training, Tevia shared his immense knowledge of this Qigong. I really recommend this course for people who want to become a teacher and also for those who want to go deeper in Qigong and expand their knowledge."

  • Review by Erica Eng from United States

"This teacher training has been incredible for me. Wow! is the word to describe it. I have trained extensively in dance and yoga and this Qigong is like a beautiful synthesis of the two but on such a deeper level. Tevia is a true master from the Taoist tradition and we are getting that wisdom and knowledge. We are getting the correct postures, breathing, and movement of the Qi which makes a powerful combination."

  • Review by Thomas Long from Australia

"I have been doing Qigong with Tevia over the last three and a half months. I came to look for Qigong because of an illness that I have been leaking energy over the previous few years. I was looking for something where I could gain energy. I was thinking with Qigong I would be able to do that. I really turned my health around, my results are getting really good, and I feel great. With Tevia’s teaching, it has been remarkable. He is a very modest man, but a very confident teacher. I highly, highly recommend it!"
