Immerse into very profound yet simple practices that will enable you to balance and tune yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. During this retreat, you will explore the ancient practices of Qigong, Tai Chi, acupressure, meditation, and yoga to transform the way you relate to yourself, others, and life itself. These techniques will allow you to balance yourself daily and they are wonderful tools to help you live in a more harmonious and wholesome way.
During this retreat, you will be hosted by Top of the Clouds, a beautiful retreat center located in a privileged area known worldwide for its scenery and surrounded in every direction by sublime views of beautiful cone-shaped peaks. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat where one can truly rest, relax, breathe fresh air, and cultivate your Qi. Fostering peace and serenity, the retreat center sits on a hilltop overlooking the famous and scenic Li River and was created by Tai Chi Master Luo Mei Juan as a place conducive to health, well-being, and relaxation.
Combining luxury and comfort, the spacious rooms are furnished in traditional style with comfortable beds, air-conditioned, Wi-Fi, a work desk, electric water heater for tea or coffee, and a beautifully designed en-suite bathroom with hot shower that includes hairdryer among its amenities. The retreat offers accommodation in shared rooms, with two or three-bed options, and single and double rooms, both with balcony and beautiful views of the river and mountains.

Acupressure is the healing art of pressing key points in your body along the meridians to stimulate its natural self-curative abilities. During this retreat, you will learn the location of potent points along the meridians, how to press using you internal energy directed to unblock any stagnant energy, and this will enable you to heal yourself and others of various common ailments.
Meditation is the art of abiding in calmness from where intuitive wisdom can arise. It is the basis for all the other practices. Guided meditations and one-on-one instruction will be given during the retreat.
Qigong is a 3000-year-old Chinese self-healing practice in which the body, mind, and breath are aligned allowing the Qi to flow and heal through unblocking and balancing. Master Mei will teach you to recognize and connect with your own internal energy (Qi), to feel and listen to it as a means to heal yourself and others. You will also learn a complete Qigong form (Yuannenggong) adapted by Master Mei herself, with a special focus in the body meridians.
Extremely vast and versatile, Tai Chi is an internal martial art, a gentle calisthenic, a moving meditation, and a form of energy healing. This retreat will be an introduction to Bafa, the eight methods of training the body’s intrinsic energies strength (Jin) that provide the foundation of all the skills and techniques of Tai Chi.
This ancient Indian tradition emphasizes body postures to work on all levels of body and mind. Benefits include greater flexibility, ease of movement, purification of the body, among many others. In this retreat, simple yet effective yoga will be practiced to balance your body and mind and foster synchronicity.
The retreat will take place in the legendary beauty spot of Yangshuo, in southern China.
Healthy, delicious food will be served three times a day. Meals will consist of mostly non-dairy, vegetarian and vegan dishes, with some raw options
The retreat center offers the perfect atmosphere to relax. During your free time, you can just chill in your room enjoying the views, or pamper yourself with a massage or wellness treatment.; however, if you are looking for different activities around the area, there are many touristic attractions that are worth a visit.
If you are interested in art and culture, you can visit the famous Liu San Jie Light Show in Yangshuo, the ancient town of Huang Yao, the artistic center in Fuli Town, or enjoy the architecture, scenery, and culture of Xingping. A more vibrant atmosphere, full of cafés, shops, restaurants, and bars can be found in the nearby town of Yangshuo.
Outdoor lovers can cycle through villages and amazing sceneries or go kayaking in the Li River. Other popular activities in the area include horse riding, mountain walking, rock climbing, and hiking.
Guided tours are available around Yangshuo, Guilin, the Longji rice terraces, and tea plantations. Another option is to take the Li river boat cruise through the impressive Karst mountain landscape or relax with the stunning scenery in a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or Dragon River).
You could also use your free time to learn something new. From Chinese language, cooking, massage or calligraphy the range of activities you can do during your free time is very wide.

From Guilin train station you can take a public bus to Yangshuo, where Top of the Clouds can arrange a transport to pick you up upon request. The trip from Guilin to Yangshuo takes around 25 minutes.
