The students will stay at student rooms at the school. All of the student rooms are bright and roomy, located right next to the training hall and the dining room. Equipped with both an electric fan and a heater, a good life during both summer and winter is guaranteed. Furthermore, the rooms are all furnished with two single beds and wardrobes as well as a table and a chair.

Each student room can accommodate one to three students depending on the room size and number of students at the time. Each room has one or two single beds with sheets and bedding. Extra blankets and heaters are provided for the students during the winter season, while fans are provided during the summer season.

All rooms have power sockets, desks, and wardrobes. There are also shared bathrooms with hot showers and laundry rooms for students to use for their washing purposes. All students staying at the school are also provided with healthy prepared meals.

Taizu Mountain Shaolin Kung Fu Academy is an institute for the teaching and promotion of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu and Chinese martial arts in China. It is a traditional Shaolin Kung Fu academy, that accepts students from around the world who wants to learn different styles of Chinese Kung Fu, such as Shaolin Kung Fu, Sanda (Sanshou), Qigong, Wudang Kung Fu, Chin Na, Tai Chi, Xingyi, Bagua, Baji, and Wing Chun.

Chinese Kung Fu (martial arts, Gongfu, or Wushu) is a series of fighting styles which has developed over the centuries in China. Although being fighting styles, Kung Fu advocates virtue and peace, not aggression or violence. This has been the common value upheld by martial artists from generation to generation.

With a number of movement sets, boxing styles, weapon skills, and some fighting stunts, Kung Fu keeps its original function of self-defense. Now its value in body-building and fitness is also highly appreciated. A strong will and persistence is the precondition for learning Kung Fu. The basic skills of legs, waist, shoulders, and stance training need to be practiced daily.

Employing the solid foundation of the basic skills, one can choose from the various sects to learn specific routines of boxing, kicking, and weapon skills, to improve the combat ability. The following styles of Chinese Kung Fu will be part of your weekly training schedule. Some of them are offered in optional classes, but all of them can be trained full-time if you wish to.

Kung Fu training plan

In this period of time, you will learn the Shaolin basics and one traditional short fist form. Furthermore, you will be able to learn basic Tai Chi moves and a basic Tai Chi form if you should wish. Depending on experience, some students might be able to learn more and some less than described. You will learn the following forms, five-step fist, continuous fist or tongbei fist, and 24-step Yang style Tai Chi.

Kung Fu training styles

Shaolin Kung Fu

Shaolin Kung Fu is not a creation of one person, but an accumulation of works by millions of people. Shaolin Kung Fu is the pearl of Chinese wisdom, which was handed down by numerous generations of China’s top martial artists.

Shaolin Kung Fu has a vast content and numerous forms. Here are some important aspects of Kung Fu, internal, external, hard, and light Kung Fu and Qi Gong. The internal Kung Fu mainly focuses on practicing the strength of one’s body, the light Kung Fu focuses on agility, while Qi Gong includes the practice and maintenance of qi.

Shaolin Kung Fu includes hand-to-hand defense as well as the use of weapons, such as staff, spear, broadsword, straight sword, and various other weapons, combat, equipment, performance sparring, sparring with weapons, and more. All Kung Fu and weapons forms that have been created by monks or lay-man monks from the temple and all Kung Fu that came to the temple from outside is referred to as Shaolin Kung Fu.

Shaolin combat technique

Shaolin combat technique is divided into ancient techniques, which means traditional combat and modern which is divided into San Da and actual combat. The ancient techniques include Shan Zhen Yi Shen Ba, Hu Bu Ba, You Long Fei Bu, Dan Feng Chao Yang, Shi Zhi Luan Ba, Ye Di Tou Tao, Hei Hu Tao Xin, Lao Hou Ban Zhi, Jin Si Cha Fa, Ying Men Tie Shan Zi, Bo Bu Pao, and so on.

Shaolin boxing nowadays features these kinds of movements; boxing, and Buddhism as a system, combination of spirit and movement, aggressive attack together with violent strikes, and proceed or retreat with parts of the body. Generally speaking, Shaolin forms are short and the routine of the movements are mostly linear.

The requirements of Shaolin actions and stances are as follow, with your head straight, follow the movements of the body with extremities, focus your eyes on a point, use great awareness, open your chest and straighten your back, and for the knees, hips, and toes, point all slightly inside to protect the groin. The shoulders should be relaxed and the arms slightly curved when attacking.

Make sure that when you are attacking, you do not forget to defend yourself and use decisive, strong, and swift defense in event of another's attack. Keep your balance at all times, be flexible when moving, and be stable when stationary. The footwork should be low when proceeding with attack, and high when retreating to coordinate the entire body. All movements should be fast.

Shaolin boxing

Shaolin boxing is hard, strong, fast, and according to the Chinese is "filled with softness inside." It also is plain and practical with every action, both attack and defense as well as in pose. As the old saying goes, practice in a place where only a cow can lie, such is Shaolin boxing, you are not limited by the place and its size.

The Shaolin style embodies a word, hard. It is practiced with both attack and defense, but mostly attack. The form is not only beautiful, but also practical. The steps are flexible. Shaolin teaches you actions forward, actions of retreat, reaction, and to punch directly in front of you.

On body and fist, it is required that the arm is not too straight, to keep all the forward and backward motion natural. The foot technique must be stable and flexible, the eye technique requires staring at the opponent's eyes and for the breathing, the qi should be "down to your dan tian'" before the qi is released. The action is as fast as a flash, a spin like a turning wheel, a stance like a pine, and a jump like a fly.

Shaolin boxing is divided into two schools, Southern, which emphasizes fists, and Northern, which emphasizes legs. There are many styles also within both Southern and Northern Shaolin.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a comprehensive study and characterized by the interaction of the energies of yin and yang. Its creation brought together an understanding of the laws of the human body with those of nature, alternating force and flexibility with swiftness and slowness.

Tai Chi masters say that this gentle dance develops one to be able to possess the flexibility of child, the strength of a lumberjack, and, eventually, the wisdom of a sage. Tai Chi embodies the Chinese idea that all life is based on life energy or qi. Many Tai Chi forms incorporate the movement of the arms as though one is gently holding a big beach ball of qi.

Based on the Chinese worldview, Tai Chi divides qi into two equal, opposite, and complementary parts, yin and yang. Tai Chi incorporates the yin and yang unity of opposites in many ways, for example, during Tai Chi routines, the weight shifts repeatedly from one leg to the other and the arms move in opposite, yet complementary directions.

In Tai Chi, during attack and defense, you sense the opposite force and force's direction by the ability to sense and break up the coming force. Using the force received to defend, for example having changes of move following the opposite changes. The basic actions of Tai Chi are tightening, quivering, stroking, squeezing, elbowing, shoving, advancing, receding, considering, waiting, and stillness.

Tai Chi training

The main principle of Tai Chi fist is that with the soft strength. You restrain the opponent's strong power and with the skill of this fist, you shrewdly take your adversary's strength and use it against them. Tai Chi fist is, therefore, very effective in actual combat.

Tai Chi fist is also remarkably beneficial for improving the learner's health. In Chinese modern society, it is suitable for everyone, from kids to the elderly. It is very popular in China. It has been acknowledged that training this fist is very useful for building body strength, curing illnesses, cultivating your moral character, and prolonging your life.

Tai Chi helps to reduce stress and promote health. Tai Chi has become popular because it is a highly effective way to improve your overall health, in body, mind, and spirit. With the focus on the flowing movements, your mind is completely in the present and becomes calm and clear. For this reason, Tai Chi is often referred to as ‘meditation in motion’.

Some main benefits of Tai Chi are to rejuvenate your body, loosen your joints, and ease your tensions, help you gain more energy and strength, increase inner peace and mental clarity, and improve blood circulation.

Research from many fields including medicine, physics, chemistry, anatomy, psychology, and much more. have shown that practicing Tai Chi plays a beneficial role in the prevention and cure of chronic diseases, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, pulmonary disease, hepatitis, naturopathy, intestines, neurasthenia, and more.

Wing Chun

Wing Chun trains the awareness of one's own body movement derived from muscular, tendon, and articular sources. A correct Wing Chun stance is like a piece of bamboo, firm but flexible, rooted but yielding. This structure is used to either deflect external forces or redirect them. Wing Chun favors a high, narrow stance with the elbows kept close to the body.

Within the stance, arms are positioned across the vitals of the center line. Shifting or turning within a stance is carried out variedly on the heels, balls, or middle of the foot depending on lineage. All attacks and counter-attacks are initiated from this firm, stable base.

Wing Chun features steady stances, generation of forces, three tricks with six forces, fists playing close to one's own body, usage of explosive power, stressing on real combat, focusing on completion of movements, and combination of offence and defense by forcing up or crushing down the fists or feet from the opposing side.

%This style of Chuan emphasizes speed of play, keeping fists and feet close to one's body for better protection, as well as to prepare for attacks and fighting the opponent at close range. When fighting, Yongchun boxers contain their chest, arch the back, close their elbows and knees, draw in their ribs, and keep their thighs closed to protect the groin.

When they use their feet for attack, they must also use their hands in cooperation. When they kick, they do not expose their groin and when they deliver fist blows, their hands do not leave the front of their body. What is commonly seen are six Wing Chun forms, three empty hand forms, one "wooden dummy" form, and two weapons forms.

    Master Xu has reached his 6th Duan in Chinese Martial Artsand is considered a National Master sportsman. His training uses a no-nonsense approach, keeping students on their toes with many different teaching methods to help increase their abilities in all areas of kung fu. A great teacher with a friendly personality and an open outlook. When he takes on new students, he quickly gains them as friends.

  • Master Zhou

    Master Zhou is the 34th generation of Shaolin warrior monk. He is very skillful at traditional Shaolin fist, boxing, and pictographic boxing like eagle, dragon, tiger, mantis, and much more.

  • Master Qin

    A well traveled instructor, he has extensive experience in teaching foreign students, has his personal supply, so as to foster the students' physical fitness and personal limits, and helps students to achieve the desired objectives.

  • Master Rui

    Masters Rui, born at a noble family well-known for martial arts, is the 34th monk of Shaolin. He took part in the large-scale performances and national tours with his Kungfu figure being left in many places, such as Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao,Thailand, Tianjing, and provinces of Hubei, Guangdong, Fujian, Hebei, Guangxi, Zhejiang, and Henan.

  • Abbot Shi Yong Xin

    He is the chairman of Henan Province Buddhists Association, vice-chairman of China's Buddhist Association, representative of Ninth National People's Congress and also the first Chinese monk ever to get an MBA degree. The Venerable Abbot Shi Yong Xin is renowned for his work for promoting Shaolin Buddhist culture, his writings as a scholar and for his continuous efforts of restoring the Shaolin Temple. Orders to martial arts enthusiasts from around the world come to meet the learning needs of the Shaolin Temple, he is the new campus master plan under the guidance of Shaolin Kung Fu Academy.

This training will be held in Handan in Hebei Province. Located in Taihang Mountain and bordered by the four provinces in the hinterland, Hebei Province is one of the oldest cities in China and also a famous ancient city.

Handan City is a national historical and cultural city, as early as 8000 years ago in the early Neolithic ancestors here Cishan multiply recuperate. As early as 7300 years ago, it gave birth to the early Neolithic cultures, magnetic mountain ancestors in this area, set up their own homes, creating a world-famous "magnetic mountain culture."

In Handan's long history, the process of birth, and its profound history and culture, the descendants of ancestors left a precious spiritual wealth. With unique natural environment and history, Handan City has a rich cultural heritage and beautiful natural landscape. Handan's favorably natural scenery, the rolling Taihang Mountains, the boundless Jingniang Lake, the mountains, and water add a lot to this ancient city.

During this training, you will be served three daily meals. Breakfast consists of traditional buns, Chinese oatmeal, and eggs. Lunch and dinner both consist of rice with a big range of vegetables added, as well as fish and meat.

All meals have vegetarian options. Generally, there are about four to seven plates of different foods to choose from during meals, with only two or four of them containing meat. Food and accommodation are included in costs of the school, and meals are covered. However, snacks will not be provided. If the students wish to go out to eat at restaurants, they will find it relatively cheaper in China than it is in their home country.

There are many direct trains from Beijing to Handan. When you arrive at Handan, Taizu Mountain Shaolin Kung Fu Academy will pick you up for free. Reaching Handan by Gaotie is highly recommended as it will save your time.

    The description doesn't match reality

    CONS Cons: The main teacher spoke a little bit of English, comunication was really hard especially if you are learning something. The other teacher could only say "eating", "better" and "again". Also on the description is told that the program would take place in the Thaizu mountains, well it was in the country side of Handan, really poluded. Then I asked my teacher why the program wasn't in the mountains, he told me that it was "too cold". Well I took classes in June, one of the hottest months in China.

    "I spent one week in Taizu Shaolin Kung Fu School and it was a really interesting experience. I worked hard under the guide of a great Shifu that showed us how Kung Fu could be wonderful and inspiring.I had experience on martial arts before, but my Shifu was very nice and really taught me everything, despite all my limitations. Everyone else in the school was also nice.The translators would take care of any problem we had and the environment amongst students was very joyful. Im really glad I made the choice of coming here during my holidays.The schedule is well elaborated and gives the opportunity to learn different Chinese martial arts, which is great to enhance your experience here. I really enjoyed coming here and I hope I can find the time in the future to come back. I definitely recommend the school to anyone interested in martial arts.Thank you to the Master who has taken Matthew under his wing and who is guiding him with his martial arts schooling, but also helping him to continue growing into man with important life values that."

    "Justified was my initial apprehension I first trained with Xu Sifu (Master Shi Yan Hao) during the summer of 2015. When I started I had next to no martial arts experience, and though I had been active most of my life, I was also no athlete. I was quite nervous about the physical demands of the Kung Fu training and wondered if I was getting in over my head jumping in and learning for the first time this complex art in China.Taizu Shaolin Kung Fu Academy is the real deal; it is an enchanting place that will both inspire, challenge and ultimately transform you in every way. The Masters, Shaolin Warrior Monks, are extremely talented and experienced and they never cease to amaze while they go out of their way to teach diligently. The management and support staff keeps the academy afloat in terms of logistics, student affairs and general matters at all times.Located in the heart of green farmlands within the rustic landscapes of Taizu Mountain, the academy offers all the amenities one might need. The training is difficult but is designed for all types of students, from professional martial artists to general athletes, from the highly spiritual or just curious adventurers who want to experience something new."

    "This journey was an amazing experience that I would gladly repeat. Xu Shifu is an amazing teacher and friend, and I am proud to have been taught by him. We not only work on techniques, strength, and flexibility but he also teaches our body and mind to become one. Weaponry is another section he teaches, and during my short stay I was able to learn a few cool staff techniques.I wanted to work on my strength and flexibility and I was able to improve a lot more than I expected. Every day is a lot of hard work and sometimes I wouldnt see the results right away but only a few days later so I had to learn to be patient with my body and let it take in all the new things at its own speed. I really loved conditioning classes and hardening the body.On arrival I was out of shape and showing it when climbing the nearby mountain. On my first accent I was slow, gasping for air, needed several breaks and covered in sweat. 3 weeks in, I climbed the mountain again, this time I went straight up. I didn't need to stop, I was barely winded when I reached the top and my water bottles were untouched.The training is tough, especially if like me you are out of shape. But the reward is so much more because I now feel confident in this bodys capabilities. Over the first few days stiff and tired are about all you notice, but everyone here is so helpful and nice that you know you can pull through. And when you do, the improvement is obvious, you still feel tired after training but you recover faster, you still are slow in the run but you can keep running for longer and longer. So I say again it is the most exhausting and difficult physical activity I have done in a long time. And given a choice I would still be there doing it."

    "I studied at Taizu Shaolin Kung Fu Academy of half year. I am very satisfied with study and I learned even more than I had expected, much more. The Academy is located on a really beautiful place and temple Ming Shan Si is really wonderful.The school itself is such an incredible place, of course training is hard, and thats how you want it to be, but it is achievable. I have seen people who have never done martial arts in their life before coming to Taizu Shan, people who never even do much fitness, and then I have also seen amazing martial artists and Olympic hopefuls!There really is training at all levels. The Masters can see how far you can go, and what you can do, and of course, whilst continually pushing you and helping you improve, also know your limits. Thats not to say that youre going to get off easy, every day will be tiring and hard work, but you will improve!If youre going wanting to learn Chinese Kung Fu, you will, if you want to experience a deeper, more spiritual side of Chinese martial arts, you will, if you want to lose weight, you can! You just have to work hard, you get out what you put in. and I promise, you will have the trip of a life time!The Master Xu is an amazing person. He's a great master with an open heart. He's not just my master, but my friend and I look forward to return to the temple and again together we will have a great time both during training and beyond. I recommend study at this academy to all!"

    "I had a great time at Taizu School of Martial Arts! I found the mountain environment beautiful and very good to concentrate on the teachings of Master Xu! Master Xu is very experienced. He customized the training to my level and always ensured it was very challenging and that I got better every training.The day is structured to include a good mix of martial arts including relax time. Together with the language course in the evening (fun). I am also now more comfortable communicating and finding my way around in China :)"

    "Hello, my name is Allison Vierus, and I am from the United States of America. I was only able to stay at the Kung Fu Academy for 5 short days, but it was an experience that I will never forget and always treasure.I was nervous at first, because I only had a very basic understanding of martial arts. However, Master Xu was able to teach me at a beginner's level, while still demonstrating his more advanced skills so that I had an understanding of what to look forward to in the future, with years of practice.I gained a new understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. I especially enjoyed learning and practicing Chinese calligraphy in the evenings. Everyone I met was very friendly and welcoming to me. I wish I could have stayed longer. The area where the temple is located is extremely beautiful, and it was a very special experience to learn and practice martial arts in the middle of the mountains.If you want a unique, one of a kind experience, that's a little off the beaten path, Taizu Mountain Kung Fu Academy is the place for you!     "In my short time here, I have seen students with no previous martial arts experience cope just as well, and sometimes better than those with years' worth. At the end of the day, it comes down to yourself as to whether you can find the motivation within you to make the most out of your stay. This includes getting up extra early for the morning Tai Chi classes even when you are already in some pain and discomfort from the day before, and finding the energy at the end of the day to attend the optional classes on offer. The school is somewhat like home with the added benefit of improving your martial arts skills under the guidance of amazing masters. Every movement the masters make in class demonstrates their prowess in martial arts and their years of experience. With the occasional help of the talented translators, the masters effectively communicate movements and concepts to the students. For anyone thinking of joining the school, I would gladly recommend that they do, as I am sure that you will find it a fulfilling and rewarding experience, especially under the guidance of the masters. I do honestly believe that anyone can manage with this rigorous regime, as long as they are willing to put in the effort and embrace the lifestyle that comes with living here."

    "I never did Martial Arts before, so why did I go to a Kung Fu School? I am 35 years old and I was getting a bit lazy, doing less sport, etc. It was time to do something about my condition. So I thought why not go to a Kung Fu school? You train from Monday to Friday and the schedule for the week is in my opinion well balanced. The Masters also adapt the training according to each individual student. And suggestions from the students are also always welcome. Everyone was really friendly, hospitable and really, really helpful. Although I didn’t stay for long, I feel like I got good exposure to a variety of Kung Fu styles while I was here. The Sifus were really knowledgeable and patient towards all the students. The translators made the communication barriers a lot easier, the food was great, and everyone was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend training here if you visit China and would love to return someday soon. "

    "Everyone here has been very nice and fun to train with. I thought Shifu Shi Yan Hao was really cool. Even without translation I could understand him just how he led by example. The training was excellent. The main style the school offers is Shaolin, an external style where you learn mostly forms, with or without weapons. I really enjoyed learning weapon forms, so much fun. In the afternoon you can choose between Sanda and Wing Chun or Wudang, Tai Ji, Qigong and Meditation, the training has helped my hips very much, but I stayed with Sanda. In the beginning I didn't like it, because it takes a while till you get better, but in the end I really loved it. This is something where you can see your improvement and it was great for powering out and my Shifu was very patient, telling me the same things over and over, which I am really thankful for. In the end you can choose and also specialize, we had students just doing Wudang, but I think it is nicer to get a overview and first try all of it a bit. Well, we cannot compare European living standards with Chinese, and I think we should not do so, because we come to China to learn traditional Chinese culture and martial arts. Everybody who is looking for a great Kung Fu experience and would like to engage his/her health is warmly welcome to join our Kung Fu family."

    "This was a great learning experience for me. The teachers are patient and flexible, and you will feel that you have personal trainers while you are there. Be open to learning, and flexible. Considering the teacher to student Ratio, you will not find a better place to go and it is a great value in all respects. Simply be prepared to work hard sincerely, but don't be tense. Relax and enjoy yourself!"

    "Tai Chi Chuan is too fast, and because the fight is too fast, it is difficult to find the unique feeling and taste. After a few months of Tai Chi Chuan, the body tends to get slower. I think Tai Chi should have the most suitable speed. Master Xu once said, "To be quiet, boxing doesn't need too much emphasis on the feeling of the body or to feel the body seriously, but should be steadfast. The body is also a part of nature, why insist that every day is "sunny"? From Tai Chi, people can have a more profound understanding of their own heart, and can experience their fusion with nature. "

    "I started looking for something to do before university – and I stumbled upon the Taizu Shaolin Kung Fu School. The six weeks I spent at the school were a truly rewarding experience! Training under the school’s masters was excellent and allowed me to develop a good sense for martial arts. I never practiced any martial arts prior to coming to the school. And it turned out that my ability to pick up new movements was not very developed. Yet, the masters were very patient and I felt like I made progress every day – a very satisfying feeling. I was really fond of the school’s diverse array of classes, which allowed me to get to know other martial arts, besides Shaolin Kung Fu. One aspect of the school and life in Taizu I particularly miss today is the routine that defined each week at the school. Getting up early in the morning for Tai Chi, training for other classes, hearing the cooks blow the whistle for breakfast, lunch and dinner – these are some of the routine aspects that helped me put aside my restlessness, that I carried with me from Europe. Training was challenging, but not impossible. The Masters – or Shifus - pushed us all to what we thought were our limits, and then beyond. As a result, I became fitter, stronger and more flexible. By the end of my training, these improvements had also translated into my Kung Fu: I was punching harder and linking my movements together with a kind of fluidity that I didn’t think I was capable of when I started. I want to thank the masters, the people who keep the school up and running and the other students I got to share my time at the school with! I’ll definitely come back at some point in the future!"

    "I decided to apply for a three weeks training at Taizu Mountain Shaolin Kungfu Academy in December. Without any experience in martial arts, I arrived with little expectations regarding the progress.Master Xu, Master Guo and Mrs Wu Xia did change my mind during my stay. The first week was very hard for me, but a first-class training provided by my masters brought me up to that magic point of no return when you start wanting more. During training, both masters always kept an eye on my individual status and were able to adjust session goals accordingly.Due to this individual and intensive training, I was able to manage four different Kung Fu forms up to twenty steps and several basics, e.g. Sanda steps. This is much more than I would ever expect. I also raised my fitness level and body strength as the result of an ongoing power training.Furthermore, I felt always welcome and treated like an old friend, of course, it is never easy to adapt a different lifestyle but Master Xu, Master Guo, and Mrs. Wu Xia made me feel like home. I want to say, thank you: for everything, and I hope that many students will share the same experiences at the Taizu Mountain Shaolin Kungfu Academy."

    "I trained Shaolin Kungfu and Sanda with Master Xu for over six months and in this time I feel I learnt and progressed so much. This was due to Master Xu's knowledge, patience as skill at teaching. During my time training I had expected my flexibility, speed, coordination and strength to improve, however I was really surprised at how much more resilient and mentally strong I was on completion of my time training.I also lived and participated in some of the Chinese habits and celebrations which they all celebrate with the students. This all, combined with the change of seasons, I can say that I enjoyed a complete Chinese experience which I will never forget. To anyone who wants to challenge themselves in a new environment, or to learn something many people can only dream about I would highly recommend training with master Xu."

    "Xu shifu was nothing less than a great teacher and a friend of mine. His training is intense and extensive, but at the same time he is both kind and strict, expecting no less than the absolute best of his students.I studied under him in 2011, and at first I was afraid that he would be too demanding; but I soon discovered that he tries really hard to understand his students limits so he can help us overcome them and defeat all fear.Nowadays I really miss the time I spent under his tutellage, I feel that I learnt many important life lessons under his wing and he has kept in touch with me ever since. Overall, he is a strong practitioner and a relentless teacher with an unique spirit for learning and sharing knowledge."

    " I want to thank all of the Masters for being so generous with their knowledge and finding the right balance between being strict but also gentle and encouraging at the right times. They can make the extraordinary seem mundane (especially when it comes to stretching) and have attained such a high level of discipline.I am sure when I return home I will take much from my time here, on the whole it has made me a more disciplined person and I will continue to practice various techniques and forms that I have learnt here. Seeing the students forms and general kung fu ability who have stayed here up to a year makes me wish I was staying longer, nonetheless im satisfied to look back at my time here with fond memories"."
