This course is designed for Tai Chi and Qigong teachers and, as a result, only advanced Tai Chi practitioners are admitted. You are encouraged to do extensive research into the history and academy of the martial art. Additionally, you will get plenty of intensive training during the course. Physical training before the course is recommended.
Chalkida is the chief town of the island of Evia. It is known for its crazy waters seaside tavernas and as a destination Greek people love to visit. This creates an authentic atmosphere and a true taste of Greece. Chalcis or Chalkida is situated on the Euripus Strait at its narrowest point.
The name is preserved from antiquity and is derived from the Greek (copper or bronze), though there is no trace of any mines in the area. In the late middle ages, it was known as negropont (negroponte: Italian "black bridge"), a name that was applied to the entire island of Euboea as well. Chalkida is only one and a half hours from Athens International Airport by train.
Every day at the restaurant overlooking the Euripus Strait and the Old Bridge of Chalkida, there is a rich breakfast buffet that highlights local traditional flavors. Of course, Greek products hold a place of honor.
The Lucy Hotel offers traditional Greek breakfasts, with over 40 items of food to choose from. There is a fresh village style bread every day, homemade marmalades, handmade cookies and cakes, delicious pudding (from Mandoudi), and traditional trahanas (from Psahna).
There is also "tiganopsomo" and zucchini pie, unique local recipes which are made with passion and which characterize the region of Evia. Lunch in the hotel is again based on traditional Greek dishes Iike mousaka, pastichio', salads, and many more. Evening meal will be aso in the hotel.
