Join Master Instructor Rick Tew as a Limited Private Group Student in Fresno, California this July for up to one month of martial arts training and optional weekend adventure in Yosemite National Park. Available only once a year!

This Program is for students that want to invest time each day (typically 3-6 hours) into learning Rick Tew’s Martial Science and Modern American Ninjitsu which includes multiple martial art skills (strikes, kicks, weapons, self-defense, stances, rolls, falls, etc), Al students will get a complete course in the arts of mind, body and the spirit.

You can also purchase our Adventure Upgrade where each weekend we venture out to Yosemite National Park for adventures and outdoor activities like climbing, hiking, and camping.

A 1-4 week Martial Arts Summer Camp in Fresno California with optional Weekend Adventures in Yosemite National Park. Taught by NinjaGym® Founder and Master Instructor Rick Tew. You will be his personal student for the entire program. In addition, Mr. Tew takes each student seriously. He wants to ensure everyone, (regardless of age or background), gets the same amount of attention.

Kids are welcome in the mornings 7-9am and adult programs are 9am-3pm and private sessions 3-5pm. All students, beginner to advanced are welcome. Because we have Students from varying backgrounds, we just require that you arrive with a positive attitude.

The Program is designed to work for students of all levels of martial arts experience. From highly motivated beginners to highly dedicated advanced students. Come for one week, two weeks, three weeks or one month!

We wanted to provide people an opportunity to get out in the summer and learn a new skill while they develop mind, body, and spirit. A chance to train in the martial arts, improve their health and meet other people at the same time. All with the opportunity to adventure outdoors in places like Yosemite National Park.

We run long-term training camps in Asia (Thailand on the island of Koh Samui). This is far away for many people, so we wanted to give those that can’t travel to Thailand, a chance to experience our martial arts programs in the USA.

Mr. Tew is taking time our of his busy schedule to provide an amazing martial arts summer camp program for beginners and advanced students alike. We offer an amazing price, so we expect students to pay with an amazing attitude. Your willingness to learn new skills and help others will go a long way.

    This is Fun and Focused 7-9am Kids camp and 9-3pm adult martial arts program. We will follow Rick Tew’s NinjaGym® Martial Science system for training. This means that each day is unique and we only focus on the specific skill level you are at.

    By the time we have completed the program, your skills and understanding will have dramatically increased. These mental and physical skills will continue for the rest of the year (hopefully your life) as the information begins to sink in.

    This is an opportunity to train the way you want to. While some may only want 2 hours a day for 2 weeks, that still totals to 20 hours of instruction with a lifetime expert martial arts Instructor. Perhaps you are going all-in with 5 hours a day for the whole month, which equates to over 100 hours of education.

    Training Program

    This program focuses on what is called “Levels Training” and designed to teach you not only the skills in all 5 levels of NinjaGym's system, but also how to teach and lead while mastering your training. The program is designed to make you a well-rounded martial artist or athlete. Each day you will focus on a different area of the martial arts in order to give your brain and body new experiences and time to grow and learn. Ninja Gym train five days a week with weekends off and private group classes are three to five hours each day. The schedule usually is focused on a different level of the system each day.

    Monday

    Level 1: Horse stance, forward roll, flat fall forward, fist strikes, front kicks, duck, rtms book, natural reactions, stick / tonfa, cat stance, reverse roll, flat back, flat fall back, palm heel strike, low sweep kick, jump, stretching, combat reality, and knife.

    Tuesday

    Level 2: Defensive stance, side roll, flat fall side, knife hand strike, back kicks, pivot, shuffle, shift, step, mind martial science - ACE, triangulation, chain / rope, power stance, diving roll, rolling fall, jab / cross/ hook / etc., round kicks, cartwheel, mind martial science - MAK, inside / outside defense, and staff.

    Wednesday

    Level 3: Fighting stance, dropping roll, air fall, finger strikes, sidekicks, kip, mind martial science - MBS, jam, block and run, sword/ half-staff, low defensive stance, superman roll, offensive falls, bent wrist, crescent kicks, hand springs, mind martial science - NRG, phases of combat, and environmental weapons.

    Thursday

    Level 4: Open / bow stance, table roll, defensive falls, forearm strike, knee, stealthing, mind martial science - CMT, grappling, sai, blade stance, rolling with objects, falling with objects, elbow, reverse heel kick, climbing, elemental meditation, sparring, and nunchaku.

    Friday

    Level 5: Reactive stance, rolling attack, stunt falls, ridge hand, dropping heel kick, strikes and kicks form, diet and exercise, magnificent 7s, blinding powder, combat stance, rolls form, falls form, knuckle fist, advanced kicks, 1 - 40 form, tic toc, personal security course, and firearms.

    All students will get a levels guide when they register as well as a complete system and philosophy guide.

    This program focuses on levels training and is designed to teach you not only the skills in all five levels of the system but also how to teach and lead while mastering your training. The program is designed to make you a well-rounded martial artist or athlete. Each day, you will focus on a different area of the martial arts in order to give your brain and body new experiences and time to grow and learn. This is a very limited program and you need to register now so you can be scheduled in.

    Body

    Most members will be joining the program for training in the martial science or modern Ninjutsu. Since this is the first goal, it is important to meet all students expectations. In order to do this, you will learn about all areas of the martial arts. This will include a variety of training and philosophies. The martial science or Ninjutsu is a combination of effective, usable principles that makes it into an elite system. This program is available for beginning to advanced students and adventurers alike, no matter what your previous martial arts background is. The basic techniques of Tew’s martial science encompass a wide range of activities and instruction that are both realistic and effective. Body movements, punches, kicks, rolls, and falls are all integral components of hand-to-hand combat. There are five levels to the instructor status. Each level includes two skills from the following nine areas of focus: stances, rolls, falls, strikes, kicks, body movement, knowledge, combat and self-defense strategies, and weapons. This is a martial science and a way of life. Its strength is based on the student having an open mind. You, as the student, will train in many different areas, techniques, and fields under the guidance of mind, body, and spirit. The training you will endure is a vehicle to achieving an improved self-worth.

    Mind

    Even though training in the martial arts offers a high level of joy and excitement, you also need focused mental growth. One of the ways that this focus and growth are provided is through a system Rick Tew has developed and calls Winjitsu, the mental martial art. In the martial arts, you learn self-defense to help prepare yourself for a situation that might be required for survival. In today’s world, with the challenges being more mental than physical, you are indeed your own worst enemy. In this day and age, your mental skills will take you a lot further than your physical skills. You are going to learn how to reach your full potential and how to be a black belt in what you do. This area of mental training will focus on all the information available today that will help you become the best you can be. Mr. Tew suggests you learn about balance, mind control, physiology, and the neurosciences. Everything you need to know to gain control of your life and to build self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline, self-power, self-control, and self-image. Winjitsu also teaches you how to overcome fear, doubt, negativity, stress, and laziness.

    Spirit

    Here, spirit is referred to as life-spirit, which means spending quality time with others in the great outdoors. Being part of the NinjaGym program is a lot more than just learning the martial arts. You are encouraged to get together for adventures that include hiking, camping, climbing, travel, multiple terrain training, and more. A large part of the martial science is devoted to the outdoors and outdoor activities. As children, one spends a lot of time exploring and discovering. The goal is to recapture and maintain that healthy attitude. Life should include fun and games, regular adventures, and new experiences that combine both the world and humanity. Rock climbing offers a challenge and opportunities for working as a team. This challenge is the healthiest form of competition. You are competing with yourself, not other people. One of the great things about rock climbing is it truly allows for living in the moment. When you are on the side of a rock face, your focus in on exactly what is happening right then and there. It is truly an enlightening experience. No outdoor adventure program is complete without a moderate amount of hiking and camping. Although camping will be included on a number of other activities, the traditional hike-camp-hike-camp strategy will also be implemented. Some locations of interest will be designated for the group to hike to. The difficulty of each hike will vary in order to include all levels of skill and develop your abilities in an outdoor setting. There may also be a number of other activities, such as basketball, grape ball, volleyball, swimming, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking, picnics, and parties. All activities provide a little adventure and no two programs are the same. The word adventure is used to describe this lifestyle, it means growth, challenge, confidence, discovery, exploration, travel, youthfulness, goals, living naturally, and being happy. You may begin to understand that adventure is not just a word, but something far more spiritual. If you have the adventure spirit, you will feel right at home with this program. The purpose of this program is to get out and explore with a group while developing life skills through training in the martial arts. Since the focus is on the martial arts, you will be expected to work on adventure trips with other members.

    Every weekend we go on an Adventure Trip in Yosemite National Park. Hiking, climbing, camping, rappelling, outdoor survival, we do it all. Do not miss out on the Adventure Upgrade!
