During this training, you will stay at Qi Alchemy Loft, in a shared room which will provide you with a bed, bedding, air-conditioning, access to the swimming pool, a shared bathroom, and Wi-Fi.

During your stay, you will take part in daily practice and training. Additionally, there will be one field trip outside of school, one special guest visit, and massage therapy session. Massage therapy is offered and provided every week to those staying a week or more. You will receive one massage per week included in class packages.

WaLu Gong Fu

WaLu Gong Fu was created by Chris Casey, also known as Kai Sai. It is a continuation of the Art Jeet Kun Do that Bruce Lee had started. WaLu uses Tai Chi, Xingi, Bagua, and Wing Chung to gain internal power. These arts combined with monkey boxing and grappling create a well-rounded system capable of bringing any martial artist to the highest success.

Walu Kung-Fu is one of the quickest combat systems to teach a student the lethal projection of energy in martial arts. The focus of the movement is not in the independent movement of the limbs. The limbs are simply conduits for the whole body to express the explosive energy through them. In other words, the arms are used in a unitary manner and not in an isolated state.

In Walu, you learn to slosh all of your body weight into the limb that you are using to attack your opponent. When you are performing Walu properly every strike, block, and kick creates a mind-hit shock to the attacker. The only way you can create shock force is to achieve a totally relaxed, fluid body state. You need to relax even on impact and never ever tense your body for an instant during an attack. Your hand strikes are armless striking and your kicks are called legless kicking.

The emphasis in this terminology is to focus the mind on the relaxed unitary nature of the limbs and not to think of your arms or legs in a tense segmented fashion. It is an advanced system for developing the neurological pathways in the brain to allow the mind to express the shock force mental energy through a unitary, fluid body state.

Walu is a mind-dominant art. If your mind has trained your brain to develop tense, neurological pathways for combat, then, you will not experience the incredible explosive power that is present in your mind right now. If you feel your body tense at any time during your training, you are training in body-dominant art and you are cheating yourself from a whole new world of energy development. It is a new way of thinking about energy projection.

Walu's advanced energy mastery system will transform your body into a pure energy channel for power. The animalistic nature of Walu movements, the art, is not designed for sports application. Walu is not for winning trophies in a tournament or grappling an opponent to get them into a submission hold. This is not to say that all of that training is unfruitful.

The evolution of Jeet Kune Do

WaLu is the evaluation direct descendant of Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do means "the way of the intercepting fist" also known as "stop hit". WaLu is energy that explodes from internal energy, creating what is called Fajing. It is a synthesis of BaguaZang, Xingiquan, and Taichiquan combined with yoga work for a complete system of internal Kung Fu.

Its emphasis is on developing the mind of the warrior and on the minds ability to train the body to remain in a relaxed, heavy, non-segmented, unitary, changeable, and fluid-like state in combat. When you are fighting a Walu student, it is like trying to nail Jell-O to a wall. Its 50 energy mastery movements totally reprogram your brain's neurological energy pathways to allow for uninhibited, maximum energy projection

There are 10 energy mastery principles. Walu is not technique based. Everything Walu teaches can be subsumed under 10 energy principles. It has an emphasis on creating Fajing like shock force power versus push force power. It also has a dog boxing curriculum

    Tiffany Ever Pineda is the senior instructor for Qi Alchemy Loft. She has been practicing Internal WaLu Gong Fu since 2005 with Ray Hager Senior Combat Conditioning Instructor for the Chinese Boxing Institute International, CBII. Tiffany Ever Pineda has been practicing Tai Chi and Internal WaLu Kung Fu for 13 years and teaching to people of all ages and body types. Her skills include Chen Tai Chi and combat yoga. She is certified by the American Tai Chi Association.
