Tropical bungalow

You can get back in touch with nature within the peace and serenity of your own private bungalow, set amidst our beautifully tropical garden. Camp bungalows have a grass leaf roof that help keeping the rooms cool, designed with comfort and modern traditional Thai charm and hospitality in mind.

Room features: The living area consists of one queen sized bed, wardrobe, and desk. The open air Thai shower makes you feel more connected to nature, and its balcony area with sun chairs faces toward a beautiful tropical garden set amongst coconut palms, to bring you fresh air and whats best for relaxing. Palapon's all-inclusive Fitness Boot Camp creates an unforgettable and highly effective exercise program that provides people who are participating with an enjoyable and unique camp style environment that offers a wide range of activities, while always striving towards identifying the areas of their current lifestyle that need the most attention to ensure their success.

Your trainers individually design your workouts to match your fitness level and create a friendly, supportive environment to help and motivate you through it. Don't worry if you have never exercised before. Everyone will notice improvements in cardio, fitness, stamina, and strength.

Besides all the training at Palapon, relaxation and recovery are also emphasized. The program includes 3 massage sessions a week, to ensure your body stays healthy and feel good during your training, as well as an all-inclusive 3-hour spa session at the end of your booking, giving you a rewarding feeling at the same time. Sunday is a day off from training, which gives you time for a full day excursion to experience the beauty of Thailand - an ideal fitness holiday for everybody.

Daily Schedule

  • 06:00 - Morning Run (1 Hour). Sunrise run but the good news is we don't on a Wednesday. Enjoy the extra time in bed.
  • 08:30 - Bodyweight Fitness Class (1 Hour). Learn new strength training techniques under the guidance of Klaus our course director
  • 08:30 - Mobility (1 Hour). On Saturday and Wednesday we are working more specific on your range of motion and posture
  • 09:30 - Breakfast. Relax with our other guests and enjoy your muesli, yogurt and fresh fruit
  • 10:00 - Free time
  • 10:30 - Yoga (1 Hour).Time to relax, breathe and stretch.
  • 12:00 - Lunch. Fill up with nutritious fuel so you can attack the afternoon sessions.
  • 12:30 - Free time
  • 14:00 - H.I.I.T. Class (30 Mins). High Intensity Interval Training. Get hardcore abs in this class
  • 15:30 - Muay Thai (1 Hour). Get ready to kick and punch some ass with a full body work out.
  • 18:00 - Dinner. Well done, you are finished for the day.
  • 18:30 - Free time. Explore the local area or more than likely just fall asleep.

A body scan will take everything into account: muscle mass in kg - bone mass in kg - body water in percentage - total body fat in percentage - visceral fat rating - BMI, etc.

Morning beach run or at high tides you will run through the scenic fisherman village of Khao Takiab

Bodyweight exercise and TRX class for achieving gains in strength, flexibility, and overall health and with each added modification, your progress is obvious.

High interval training

Exercises in High Interval training. Improved cardiovascular fitness can be applied to almost any type of exercise.

Cardio boxing/Muay Thai

Your personal trainer will teach you one on one how to improve your Total-Body Strength and better Hand-Eye Coordination.

All Classes are held in two on-site gyms nestled in a peaceful exotic environment in Hua Hin, one of Thailand's premier beach resort towns on the Gulf of Thailand and also the location of the King of Thailand's summer palace.

Massages as relaxation and for improved muscle fiber regeneration this will provide you with body awareness and strength.

Spa: 3-hour spa session at the end of your booking, giving you a rewarding feeling.


Sunday day off from training, time to go on a full day excursion to see the beauty of Pala U waterfall, snorkeling at Koh Talu Island, relaxing Fishing Cruise or visit Sam Roi Yot National Park.


Bodyweight workout

This workout is a great choice for achieving gains in strength and flexibility and in the same time a safe exerciser regardless of experience, age, or fitness level. With exercises that recruit the largest number of muscles, your body will get a super workout (squats, lunges, pull ups, and push ups). You will build muscle, and you'll burn calories after your exercise. It's easily modified to challenge anyone, with each added modification, your progress is obvious and a great way to improve flexibility while also significantly improving strength. You can do them just about anywhere guaranty long term success and an effective option for rehabilitation, even for those with significant impairments.

Morning beach run

The best way to start the day is an early morning run on the beach of Hua Hin. Besides the beautiful view, enjoy the wonderful air and the sounds and scents of the sea. You will strengthens your heart, increase your cardio respiratory fitness and, with improved fitness, decreasing your body fat. At hide tide, you will walk through the scenic fisherman village.

Cardio Boxing

Experience the training and the nature of Thai Boxing in the motherland of muay thai that creates a strong mind that is courageous, intelligent, and disciplined. With daily private sessions your trainer will help you to develop courage, determination, and self-confidence and also focuses on increase your stamina, strength, speed and coordination.

Interval training

Interval training is simply alternating bursts of intense activity with intervals of complete rest and is one of the best ways to get in shape. Compelling and ever-mounting research shows that the ideal form of exercise is short bursts of high intensity exercise. Interval training is incredibly versatile and key strategy for improving VO2 max, boosting weight and fat loss, promoting HGH production, and improving strength and stamina.

Stretching class

The first step toward a workout routine this class is designed with two purposes in mind: to increase your flexibility and to loosen your muscles for the intense workout throughout the rest of the week. Thirty-five exercises are in the routine and as warm up before any exercises, you will perform some of the stretch routine to get your blood flowing.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins.

Muay Thai is associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient. It became widespread internationally in the twentieth century, when practitioners defeated notable practitioners of other martial arts.

Muay Thai can be traced back to the 16th century, developed from the fighting style of the famous fighter Nai Khanomtom. Its ancestor is Muay Boran (or “ancient boxing”), which in the 1930s was formalized with rules and equipment influenced by Western boxing.

Breakfast from Monday to Saturday is included in the price. Unlimited drinking water and coffee will also be provided. You can choose to have other meals of the days at the nearby restaurants, or at Palapon from a private chef and inspired from a scientifically proven and most healthy Mediterranean diet.

Beaches and restaurants

As Hua Hin is located on the western side of the Gulf of Thailand, it's hardly surprising that it is well-endowed with some great beaches. Hua Hin beach itself runs for approximately 7 km south of the main entrance at The Sofitel Hotel, all the way to Khao Takiab. Water sports are becoming more popular and include jet skiing, kite boarding, waterskiing, etc.

About 20 km south of Hua Hin is Khao Tao and Sai Noi beach and another 20 km southwards is Khao Kalok. Finally, to the south is Ao Manao that is situated just outside of the provincial capital, Prachuabkirikhan. The beach is safe for all and there are plenty of restaurants lining this pretty bay.

Further south of Hua Hin you will find Khao Takiab beach, which is quieter than Hua Hin and further still you'll arrive at Suan Son beach, so named after the trees that line it - it's best to picnic here as catering is not so common. To the north of Hua Hin is the resort town of Cha-Am. This has a decent beach that again is safe for swimming and where you will find a good choice of beach restaurants.

Buddhist temples

Thailand is some 95% Buddhist and so temples are a common sight all over the country and Hua Hin is no exception to this rule. The main temple is Wat Hua Hin (or Wat Ampharam) that is located in the centre of town. Other notable ones include Wat Bor Fai that is around 5km north of Hua Hin and where you can feed the large, sacred catfish for a small donation to the monks.

Other impressive examples of temple architecture can be found on the Pala-U road heading west out of Hua Hin at the top of the hill. You can see some wonderful examples of Buddha statues at Wat Khao Krailas and Wat Petchravud here. Another good town to visit if you're interested further is Khao Takiab.

Hua Hin royal palaces

The current monarch King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikitt now both mainly reside at their summer palace in Hua Hin. Known as Klaikangwon Palace, meaning "far from worries", this residence is only accessible by invitation and there is an exclusion zone around it that stretches out to sea. It was built in Spanish style architecture in 1929 and the gardens are beautifully manicured and full of art from Java.

Slightly further north is Maruekatayawan Palace. This was designed by His Majesty King Rama VI in 1923 and is a superb example of classic raised Thai architecture. Of particular note are three two-storied wooden pavilions facing out to sea. Halls are linked together throughout the palace and there are residential areas for royal consort members and naturally for The Royal Family.

The Palace is a must-see whilst you are in Hua Hin for a real glimpse back into Thailand's Royal past. The Palace is now fully restored and prides itself on being the longest golden teak palace in the world. You can find it within a few minute's drive north of Hua Hin. Hua Hin's popularity began to increase in the 1920's as the railway line from Bangkok was constructed and King Rama VI built Klai Kangwon Palace as a summer retreat.

Places of interest

Hin Lek Fai: If you're looking for some spectacular views of Hua Hin, you need search no further than Khao Hin Lek Fai (Flintstone Hill).

Animal park: A little known animal park/zoo lies around 10 km north of Hua Hin. It appears to be setup as a government funded "deer research center" so there is no English language signs to or in the place.

Cicada market: The market has recently opened on the corner of Soi Moo Ban Nong Kae and Khao Takieb Hua Hin Road in Khao Takieb. This colourful new addition to the local cultural scene features soft music, an artists' market, good food and drink, and plenty of shopping.

The Vic Hua Hin Art Complex: Situated a few kilometers south of the Khao Takieb flyover, this complex features an air-conditioned theatre, performing arts, workshops, visual art exhibitions, and film screenings.

Plearnwan Eco Vintage Village: Found on the left hand side of Petchkasem Road, just north of the traffic lights at the King's Palace, this complex covers two floors offering a glimpse back into Hua Hin's past. You can shop for clothes, food, and souvenirs, while at the weekend there is an open air cinema.

    "Having lived in Vietnam for the past 2 and half years, I had got extremely lazy with going everywhere from A-B on a motorbike. Knowing it was time to make a change, I needed a kick up the backside and with some time off for Vietnamese New year, I put it to good use. I did a little research before but I thought Palapon looked friendly, welcoming, and I felt that goals would be reached from someone who cared. And this is what I got and more. I was welcomed into a friendly, motivating environment to which I soon realised this was the place for me. Don't get me wrong, it was hard work, pushing myself and my body from being super lazy to rather busy was going to hurt. And oh it did. But it was worth it. All of it. And what took the edge of all the hard work is that everyone around both cared and had big smiles on there faces. We were in it together, and that was a great feeling. I felt that Klaus and his team really cared for you and listened and helped what you wanted to achieve. I was really happy to have a laugh along the way, and that everyone had a great sense of humor which will be definitely something I'll be taking away with me as well as the hard work and support. I also loved that some sessions were with a mix of both the intense program students, so I really felt you wanted to push yourself even harder to get what you wanted. I have come away feeling great, with a new found love of Muay thai and I would highly recommend it to everyone."

    "I was due some time off from work for two weeks, I chose to go away to Camp Palapon in Hua Hin so I could do exercise as well as have a break from reality. I didn't have any expectations and wasn't particularly motivated by fitness but thought it was a good idea for some reason. I am leaving today and I am truly sad to go home. I arrived not expecting anything but left with inspiration, knowledge and determination. From arrival, Camp Palapon was welcoming and had a community feeling. I stayed at one of the bungalows which is surrounded by a beautiful green and flower garden, bringing me back to nature. The bungalows are basic and are cleaned thoroughly every day and have everything you need on a basic level. There is a community sala to hang out in which is cool and comfortable. Klaus and Valerie are the Directors of the Camp and they couldn't be more different. Klaus has a hard exterior, but I believe is extremely kind-hearted and genuinely wants people to do well. He listens to what you want to achieve and guides you on how to make it happen with a lot of encouragement along the way. I am pretty sure Klaus has a sixth sense or eyes in the back of his head as he always knows what you are doing and when you are not training when you are able to. Valerie is very open and approachable. She listens, supports you, and teaches you about Thai culture which is very helpful, as I did not do any research on Thailand before I arrived. The exercise classes are varied throughout the 6 day training week and are enjoyable. The Muay Thai sessions were my favourite, with trainers that teach you who used to be or are professional Muay Thai fighters. Camp Palapon is situated in the same town that the King of Thailand has his summer palace, so there are plenty of things to do, things to see and exciting people to meet. You will not be bored in this place in your leisure time and the local people are wonderful and extremely respectful and polite. My perception changed in the two weeks I stayed at Palapon. I watched other people train and achieve fantastic results which also motivated me to stick to only eating the delicious food served at the camp and attend every training session eagerly. My fitness plan is already booked in when I get home to England and I am already planning to come back to Palapon at the end of the year fitter, stronger and more determined to achieve all that I can be. I have made friends for life and would recommend Camp Palapon to anyone looking to improve theirs. Don't hesitate to book a place here, it is truly life changing."

    "After finishing my bachelor degree, I decided to do something for myself. I started to search the internet for places to go where I could challenge myself, get fit and meet new people. I found Camp Palapon. What a place!From the moment I stepped into the camp I felt welcomed. Klaus, Valerie, and staff are amazing! The accommodation is nice and clean. The bungalow is cleaned six days a week and the meals are tasteful and good. Thai shower is not a problem; neither is the shared toilet and shower.The training is hard, but fun. Klaus made a training program based on my fitness level, and changed it and made it more challenging as my fitness got better. As soon as a exercise became easy he gave me more repetitions or found a new challenging exercise. To have someone pushing me like that was just what I needed! It is so good to feel and see the results from the training!The Muay Thai training was awesome. The trainers push you hard, but they are an inspiration and they are funny to be around. Valerie and Klaus are just the perfect team. They treat you as family, and help you with any problem you may have. On Sundays they sometimes arranged trips. During my stay we visited Dolphin Bay, Santorini Waterpark and the waterfalls in Pala-U. They also brought us to Muay thai fight nights, which was very fun!The camp has the perfect atmosphere for focusing on yourself and your fitness goals, and you have a amazing team around to help, inspire, motivate and push you. If you travel alone you do not have to be afraid of not making friends. I met people who inspired me and I made friends for life! A stay at Camp Palapon is good value for your money. I stayed there for eight weeks and I would recommend staying there for at least four weeks.During my stay I learned a lot about myself and I found the inspiration and motivation to follow my dreams. I can recommend a stay at Camp Palapon. It will change your body and soul, and you will return to your everyday life as a different person, a better person. And you would like to come back. I know I will."

    "As a couple who needed to improve our fitness, we decided to challenge ourselves by spending a week at Camp Palapon, since we read so many good reviews on Trip Advisor.We booked the intensive program - which clearly lives up to its name!The hardest part of the program for us was the early morning, when we had to run (or walk for me as I'm not able to run) through the lovely village of Takiab (in Hua Hin) to climb impressive stairs leading to a temple, and going back running or walking to the camp.Really exhausting but what a way to start the day! We would never have done it on our own. Then during the rest of the day, Klaus got us to do tailored circuit training & abdominal training, and at the end of day came the much dreaded and loved Muay Thai boxing with lovely Thai trainers.All in all, it was pretty tiring but not as exhausting as it sounds since we got plenty of rest to recover. Our third day was the worst - as it had been for everyone in the camp apparently - as our muscles were so sore we thought we could not train anymore.The program is well balanced to give you a (slightly) less hard day when your body feels exhausted and the next day, you can definitely feel your muscles being stronger. What a thrill!The experience was overall very good and now - one week later - we can definitely feel that our health got better and that our muscles grew stronger. And more importantly, we have more energy! Truth is, while leaving the camp, we regretted not to have booked a second week to keep on enjoying the positive effects of the camp."

    "There were 2 reasons I chose Palapon. First was the cost, second was the program. Cost: one whole month, plus airfare from California to Thailand, for less than a week at a spa in the USA.The program: Basic, daily exercise, designed for you to start at your fitness level, but cranked up to keep you challenged, and then good healthy food. I did a lot of research; I did not want group therapy, or any popular juice diet. I needed basic training. I was a fat, lazy, 65 year old man, and I drank too much beer. I certainly got what I needed at Palapon.You can read all the other good reviews about the camp, and what Klaus and Valerie are doing. The staffs are great; they were all very supportive, and even fun. I do not need to add anything to that. What I will tell you is that this program works, it really works.To state the obvious, you will only get out of it what you put into it, but this is the real deal. If you do what Klaus sets out for you, then you will improve your overall fitness, increase your flexibility, and lose weight; period. I lost 10 kilos, 23 pounds, in one month.I am fitter, healthier, more flexible, and more energetic. I also learned everything I need to do to keep it going, and I do not need to buy any expensive equipment to achieve that.This is the real deal. There is no magic bullet. There is no secret. This works.I cannot thank Palapon enough for what I was able to achieve, but like Klaus said when I was leaving, it was me who did the work. If you have the determination, this is what you need. I cannot say enough about Camp Palapon, they will help you get where you want to be."
