The 2016 Northwestern Intensive Camp’s goal is to make you a successful wrestler at the highest competitive levels. Furthermore, you will be taught the concepts that work at the elite levels of high school and college wrestling. This camp provides a comprehensive approach to the sport. The commitment it takes to win state and national titles is huge, and Northwestern Wrestling understands that. Each aspect of the sport is addressed using a combination of technical instruction, drill sessions, live wrestling, and strength training, with an emphasis on the mental approach to wrestling. The coaching staff will provide you with concepts that will allow you to visualize your success. The camp system is specifically structured to ensure that you will retain the knowledge and skills that you learn during your time at the NU Wrestling Camp.
Room assignments will be 2 campers per room. Pillow and bedding will not be provided. Campers will be responsible for bringing the following items: pillow, bedding, towels, toiletries, three changes of work-out clothes per day, wrestling and running shoes, head-gear, mouth piece, knee pads, and beach wear. The camp will take place over the course of 5 days from July 6 to July 10, 2016. There will be three training sessions per day. Training content will be a combination of technical instruction, drill sessions, live wrestling and strength training, with an emphasis on the mental approach to wrestling. There will be training sessions daily to guarantee what is taught is reinforced into campers' mind. There is also a specific structure to ensure campers will remember and can utilize their training later on.

Camps are conducted on the campus of Northwestern University, located just minutes north of Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Chicago is a huge metropolitan where there is so much things to do. It is the second biggest financial center in the States, second only to New York City. The city's theater district offers various shows and entertainment opportunities. You can wander around the city, walk along the riverside path, explore the exotic China town area, visit the multiple museums, go to Willis Tower to catch Chicago skyline, or immerse yourself in the exciting nightlife of this city. All that, and so much more, are possible.

Three meals per day are included in the camp fee. The first meal will be dinner on the first day of camp and the last meal will be breakfast on the last day of camp.
