This program concentrates on the deeper, internal aspects of old-style Kung Fu. It uses a clever combination of physical movement, chi cultivation, and meditation to draw together mind, body, and breath. The self-paced Internal Kung fu and Qigong program will get you off to a strong start for those looking to explore the softer, internal side of Kung Fu. It is suitable for those who are likely interested in Chi Kung and developing their internal energy.
You will need a laptop or smartphone to join the online training.

First of all, you register your account on the Nam Yang Global Family platform. Set up your profile, and begin interacting with other family members. Suggested training schedules are laid out, but you are welcome to pick and choose which classes interest you and take them at your own pace. Lessons are released on a daily basis from the date you signed up.
When you have completed all of the units and 76 days have passed you will be invited to do a pre-grading lesson with an experienced teacher. The teacher will look carefully at you and give you feedback. They will also check that you have learned your lessons properly.
If the teacher is confident that you are ready to grade then you will be invited to book a grading two weeks after the pre-grading. Once you pass the grading, you will advance to level 2. This will show on your profile. Internal Kung Fu and Chi Kung 2 will unlock.
Within two months you should be ready to take the first level examination in internal Kung Fu and Qigong. Through following this program you will feel fitter and healthier, your confidence enhanced, your mind clearer, likely experience a weight adjustment, your flexibility improved, detox your body, and enjoy your new self.
This course gives you access to our Nam Yang Global Family platform. This is a complete membership package! You are not simply training with an instructor - you are becoming part of an online global family with whom you can communicate and train.
The family has history right back to the Shaolin founder Bodhidharma about 1,500 years ago. Their arts have stood the test of time. The Tong Ling Chi Kung system is an easy and efficient system suitable for beginners to advanced,. Practicing Chi Kung can help you remain young, be healthy, and get healthy, boost your energy levels, counters stress, and enhances your senses.
This system is a set of soft exercises that combine physical movement with breathing techniques, meditation, and the movement of chi so that you can feel better, breathe better, and live better.
A Martial Chi Kung, Bodhidharma's (Tat Moh) Vein Tendon Chi Kung is a simple yet effective system that tones all of the tendons in the body and increases its elasticity so that it can store energy. It packs Chi into the internal organs, strengthens, and energizes them which results in becoming resistant to injury and disease.
By building this elasticity and a good level of tone into the fascia, we open the flow of chi in the meridians and maintain a sufficient space in the joints to house enough synovial fluid to keep the joint properly nourished and lubricated. This keeps it healthy and arthritis and similar are avoided.
Nam Yang Kung Fu Retreat methods for stretching come from both Kung Fu and yoga to greatly improve joint and muscle flexibility and teach body relaxation. Master Iain is a Kung Fu philosopher and author with 36 years of living in Kung Fu. Trained personally by Grand Master Tan Soh Tin in Singapore, he’s a two-time world champion and veteran of real street battles. Famous for his high-quality Kung Fu teaching, his instructional films and magazine articles, and for his demonstrations of Iron Shirt Qigong, Master Iain is a mine of information but retains a very practical, down-to-earth, and realistic approach. Most people who meet him are struck by his air of calm, patience, and wisdom.
Craig is a very easy-going, popular teacher who can make complex movements seem easy. He is naturally very athletic and keeps up a high level of physical fitness. He has a flair for weapons training and teaches weapons classes twice a week. He is also interested in San Da (Chinese boxing). He has a deep wish to focus properly on learning and understanding the arts and likes living in the mountains and forests of Northern Thailand with its mix of cultures and ethnicities. Craig is usually present from September to April.
Kanika has a warm personality and is very approachable. She is deeply interested in kung fu in all its aspects including philosophy, culture, and wisdom. Kanika comes from a background in Tae Kwon Do and has great flexibility. She came to the Kung Fu Retreat in 2015 and discovered that Nam Yang’s Kung Fu was her true calling in Martial arts. Aside from English, Kanika speaks Hindi and Bengali.
This training is conducted online. Nam Yang Kung Fu Retreat is based in Pai, Thailand (GMT+7) and they will send you a video every day. You can watch the video and practice at your own pace.
Nam Yang Kung Fu Retreat has its own Kung Fu Retreat in the remote mountains of North-Western Thailand where they train daily. They have training grounds, their own Kung Fu gym, a prayer room, a tea porch, a library, and absolutely loads of weapons!
The school even has its own organic farm to produce the best quality food and herbs. The teachers film and live stream from here. If ever you have the chance you will be very welcome to come to meet them here and train with them for real.
