Traditional Muay Thai training

Muay Thai Battle Conquer Gym focuses on developing fighters of all ages in a traditional Muay Thai environment. Head trainer Pau has been fighting since the age of four, which has given him a wealth knowledge he’s ready to impart on fighters of all levels. The focus is on developing champions by improving their skills, gaining experience at the local level, then eventually fighting in Bangkok on the biggest stages for Muay Thai.

To maintain this high standard of training, Muay Thai Battle Conquer Gym accepts a limited number of fighters at any given time to make sure they’re given the attention the need to excel.

Western boxing

While the focus is on traditional Muay Thai, Muay Thai Battle Conquer Gym cross-trains fighters in western boxing as it complements their abilities and can give them an extra edge. They can also train exclusively in western boxing and organize prize fights for western style boxers. A full-time boxing coach can adapt training to your needs, so let them know what your goals are and they will adjust it accordingly.

Strength and conditioning

Although Muay Thai is an incredible workout in and of itself, fighters and hobbyists alike can benefit from the supplemental strength and conditioning. This can help to improve power and stamina, reduce injuries, and achieve weight-loss goals more quickly. As with all of the training programs, workouts and plans are customized to your needs.

Muay Thai Battle Conquer Gym uses tires, climbing ropes, gymnastic rings, custom pull up, and monkey bars, along with bodyweight exercises to develop functional strength.

Training methods

  • High-intensity interval training(HIIT)
  • Functional strength training
  • Explosive plyometrics for speed and power
  • Bodyweight and core conditioning

  • 06:00 Muay Thai or western boxing
  • 12:00 Strength and conditioning for approximately one hour in the midday

    1 week Muay Thai/Boxing camp

    CONS Cons: Nothing!

PROS Pros: Everything! I arrived at Battle Conquer wanting to focus on Western Boxing (as I had done a tiny bit in the past) & Owen was able to tailor my week to fit this goal. Group sizes were small - never more than 3 fighters people to two instructors. I arrived slightly nervous, as a lone 20yo female traveller, however Owen and Noi soon made me feel so welcome and at home! The gym is small and family run - started by Noi's father - and the constant presence of family makes the whole experience not only unintimidating (unlike other commercial Muay Thai camps), but so warm and lovely. Training took place in the early mornings and evenings (this was also flexible - and was made more/less frequent depending on how sore I was!), and during the day Noi and Owen kindly took me to see/experience various things around Petchabun - as a Thai district that isn't frequented by Western travellers, this was a really cool 'off the beaten track' way to sightsee. We also did non-sightseeing activities (such as meditating with a Buddhist monk in a tiny temple) and eating at a proper Thai barbecue that meant that I was able to experience the 'actually Thai' side of Thailand and this made my trip truly special. The camp is surrounded by gorgeous family owned farmland, and the accommodation is clean and well maintained and Noi's cooking is incredible! I cannot recommend Battle Conquer Gym enough.
