Montana Lodge and Spa brings together the best of contemporary design, innovative materials, all within the shell of a traditional Aosta Valley exterior. Studio del Portico creativity gave Montana Lodge and Spa a warm and nature-centric ambiance. In the rooms, tree-themed wallpaper, a wavy tree trunk parquet, and decorative ornamental deer heads create a sensation of being in an alpine forest. In the common areas, the use of wood, stone, and steel brings out a cool coziness. All rooms and common areas are non-smoking. Most (but not all) of the rooms have a terrace or a balcony.

Every room has a television showing domestic Italian channels as well as international channels in various languages, a direct-dial telephone, and no air conditioning. There is complimentary wireless Internet in all rooms and public areas. The hotel cannot ski-in and ski-out. It is located 400 meters from the cable car or gondola.

A complimentary shuttle service is available in winter to and from the hotel to the lifts. Respect for the nature that surrounds the hotel is of utmost importance to their values. Montana Lodge & Spa proudly operates a high-efficiency Wisemann biomass heating system and electricity-saving infrastructure. Solar panels provide a supply of hot sanitary water when the sun is shining and water-saving technology and LED lights help them to further reduce their already small ecological footprint.

Yoga and meditation

Hatha flow

The practice of Hatha flow consists of a free sequence of traditional yoga asanas (positions). The asanas are held for a few breaths and joined to each other in a gentle flow with dynamic but smooth transitions. The movement is therefore continuous and the breath is harmonized with the movement to help create a continuous flow in which the whole body is involved. The practice is completed with a short session of pranayama (breathing techniques) and final relaxation to create a complete and deep state of well-being.

Yin yoga

Yin yoga works on asanas that are performed exclusively while sitting or lying down. The positions are held for a long time (three to five minutes) to improve the energy flow. In this practice are activated regenerative processes of connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and joints. On an emotional level, the practice is introspective. It stimulates to get in touch with your deepest emotions to learn to observe and manage them.

Hatha and pranayama

Hatha yoga is the oldest and most complete form of yoga. It involves every part of the body, but also the breath and the mind. The body becomes stronger, more flexible, and more stable. The practice also teaches how to control the cosmic energy present in man, which manifests itself with the breath, bringing calm to the mind, which also becomes stronger, more flexible, and more stable. It is a slow and contemplative practice.

The body has time to adapt to the positions and the mind enters into a natural state of release of tension. At the end of the practice will be performed exercises of pranayama: very ancient breathing techniques that act on the body by flowing and flowing vital energy in every part of the same in a balanced way. The pranayama also acts on the mental state bringing the mind to a state of equanimity and peace to reach a higher state of consciousness.

Vinyasa yoga

Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic practice, in which the positions are held for a few breaths and are connected by rapid transitions that make the flow very energetic and activating. With every inhale and every breath, a movement of the body is performed that flows without pause awakening the most solar and active part of your being: the body warms up, the heartbeat increases, and this intensity leads to a natural elimination of toxins.

When the mind abandons itself to this flow it enters a state of meditation in movement. The practice ends with short pranayama and relaxation on the ground in a final abandonment of all physical and mental tension.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra means yoga of sleep. It is a completely passive practice in which with the vocal guidance of the leader you access a subtle and deep world that allows you to increase awareness of yourself. The body is completely abandoned in a total release of tension and the mind is gently led to a state of emotional abandonment that works on conscious and subconscious levels.

With the techniques of Yoga Nidra, you can get in touch with your deepest part: accessing in a conscious way to your unconscious. You have the opportunity to observe and become more aware of who you are and then correct any negative aspects of your mind and balance your emotional state.

Yoga kids

The teaching is based on the acquisition of yoga techniques through a pedagogical-didactic path that starts from a playful approach. Games and narrations are used to approach the practice. Within a group situation, through fun, the child learns and uses the postures and dynamics typical of yoga. During a class, for example, the little ones stand in a circle. Or they make movements that resemble those of animals.

Or, again, fairy tales and nursery rhymes are constructed, which the body is then asked to perform. At the same time, each posture is accompanied by breathing exercises. It should be emphasized, then, that yoga is ideal for children who deal with psychological or relational problems. Because it relaxes and facilitates empathy with one's own body. So also with others.

Kundalini meditation

Kundalini meditation is a meditative practice that aims to awaken the so-called Kundalini energy, which is found in all of you since creation. Kundalini energy is an energy that has a feminine connotation and is generative. It is found in each of you in a latent way and is located in the area of the sacrum bone. Once awakened, it can give full spiritual realization. Kundalini is a type of meditation created precisely to awaken this spiral energy and consequently awaken its healing power.

Kundalini meditation has a beneficial effect on the chakras of the body, giving deep well-being to those who practice it, accompanied by a deep joy that comes from within and that comes from the knowledge and awareness of the past, present, and future at the same time.

Core stability

Core stability is an intense training program that allows obtaining excellent results both in terms of timing and muscle definition. An excellent strategy to relieve stress and burn calories. In fact, it combines cardiovascular training, based on the principles and steps of aerobics, with targeted toning exercises particularly focused on the abdominal area, the lateral and inner part of the leg, and finally the small, medium, and large gluteal muscles. A combined action capable of training the whole body at the same time. The lesson lasts 60 minutes and takes place in tempo with the music.

Stretching proposes general muscular stretching exercises aimed at maintaining and restoring good joint mobility at the end of a beautiful and intense day of skiing or any other motor activity. The practice accelerates the recovery processes bringing the. Length of muscle strips to their natural condition, helping to remove more easily the metabolic waste (especially lactic acid) produced during the effort and to prevent tears or contractures. The positions are reached gradually, gently, without fatigue or stress accompanied by relaxing music.

Muscular awakening

The gymnastics program known as muscular awakening allows making them active in a gentle way, taking advantage of some soft movements. It allows you to start your day stress-free and definitely more productive. Many people see these morning exercises as one more way to waste time. In reality, similar to yoga or meditation, if you give yourselves a few minutes to perform such practices, you can lengthen your days. Muscle awakening allows you to stay centered in the present, not waste time and thus find yourselves with much more time on your hands.

Workout with mixed metabolic commitment (aerobic and anaerobic). It has toning, slimming, and training functions for general resistance, strength, and resistance strength. It is therefore a varied, stimulating, and fun workout where cardiovascular activity alternates with general toning exercises.
