This training blends the best of Filipino Martial Arts and conditioning. The whole thing in a beautiful island with a qualified instructor. Kali / Eskrima refers to Filipino Martial arts as a system based on edged weapons and sticks fighting. You will practice applications with empty hands and Filipino boxing called Panantukan. The program can be adjusted for all fitness level and experience in martial arts.
Your accommodation for this training is a cozy and modern guest house with pool and shared kitchen. All rooms are provided with double bed, TV, private bathroom, toilet, and towels. Located 500 meters from the beach, it is a calm and quiet area. It is also five minutes by scooter to the touristic center of Canggu where you can find bars, restaurants, spa, etc.
During this week of training, you would have opportunity to practice all aspect of Filipino Martial Arts. Using Weapons with long/medium/short distance such solo baston, doble baston, knife, karambit. Also we will work on striking, self defense, sticky hands, panantukan. In parallel, we want you to sharpen your fighting attributes such as stamina, speed, functional strength, mobility through various methods like natural movement, gymnastics, cross training. You will have 2 hours of training morning and evening. We can add early session on the beach of breathing exercise/qigong on request .
Intentionally we blend various training methods in order to create a holistic and balanced structure of training that will maximize gains in strength, reduce the risk of injuries and improve performance. We will use facility of crossfit center for the functional training and the beach for stamina and natural movement.
Eskrima, also known as Kali and Arnis, is terms used for traditional martial arts of the Philippines. Emphasis is put on weapons for these arts. Stick fighting (single and double sticks) is a great way to improve coordination and develop precision and speed. Kali also includes kadena de mano (empty-hands / self-defense) and it is very efficient system for CQC (close quarter combat). Using punches, palm strike, elbows, knees, joint locks, flow drills, etc.
Guillaume has a broad level of expertise. He graduated at Health and Sport Institute in France after years of study biomechanics, physiology, and strength training method. He has a unique approach to movement through his vast experience and history of learning various different kinds of movement forms. Passionate of martial arts, he followed his way all around Asia to explore the path deeper from diverse angles and perspectives. Nowadays, based in Bali as an eternal student and educator, he works as a personal health and martial arts instructor.
This is training is located in Pererenan area, in Canggu, Bali. Surrounded by nature, close to the beach, and is 10 minutes away from facilities of training.
Food and beverage are not included in this training.
