"I have trained in self-defense in different styles for over 20 years. My Muay Thai is probably average at best. I have much more of a traditional western boxer/ Krav Maga style. I wanted to work on specific technique aspects and was less interested in just getting a work-out. This camp was highly recommended to me by the concierge at the Le Meridian hotel. The owner was extremely prompt (and wrote English very well) and helpful in arranging a private training session. The price was quite reasonable. They provided me exactly what I was looking for. My trainer was a former fighter with ~ 18 years of experience and extremely athletic. I didn't get an old fat trainer. He was 20 years my younger (sucks getting older). He allowed me to lead the session and we worked specifically on all aspects of Muay Thai that I was interested in. I got out of it exactly what I was looking for. In a short period of time I was able to pick up a number of neat little veteran tricks that I have never seen in the U.S. When I arrived I also watched a class of ~ 10 newer customers who were more beginners. They seemed quite capable to teaching from a very beginner, someone looking for a great workout to someone who was preparing for a real fight. I don't know what else anyone would be looking for. One a side note, you may want to pre-arrange travel back from the gym. I had quite a bit of trouble getting a taxi to my hotel in the city. Most taxi drivers didn't want to drive back into the city from their location. I think this is helpful to know upfront if you are staying at a downtown hotel. I would love to train for a more extended period of time on my next visit to Bangkok."

"I took one private session and two group sessions at Khongsittha Muay Thai last week. I went there on my own and had a wonderful time. "

    ""

"I had been to 2 other open-air Muay thai gyms of similar setup in Bangkok and Khongsittha Muay Thai is certainly the best. The gym cultivates a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere. Instead of asking me to do a hundred of sit up and push up (this was exactly my experience with one of the other Muay thai gym), the trainers at Khongsittha Muay Thai, even in the group sessions, are anxious to correct my mistakes, teach me the skills, improve my accuracy and strength, and bring me to a higher level. They make sure everyone in the group are being taking care of and adjust the training to meet your level."

    ""

"Before I got to Khongsittha Muay Thai, I had some concerns over its location. It is a bit away from the centre of Bangkok (15 minutes taxi ride) but staying at Kiatthada House and Resort makes it perfect. It is no more than 2 minutes walk from Kiatthada Resort to Khongsittha Muay Thai. The staff Alex at the resort is super. He wears a smile and is always prepared to help. There are many small food stalls and cafes in the district and eating is not a problem. "

"It is hard for city people like me to have the luxury to put our hectic routine behind and focus on training for a sport that we like. Highly recommended everyone who wants to learn Mauy Thai to train at Khongsittha Muay Thai and stay at Kiatthada Resort. I will certainly return to train longer."

"We booked a couple of 1:1 training sessions via the TA messenger link and they confirmed the booking in just a few minutes."

"The gym is located around 12 km outside the city center and was almost 1 hour late but fortunately they had a big faculty of Trainers and were easily able to accommodate us when we finally got there."

"The gym is quite big: 2 rings, a big matted area for classes and a crossfire/ weights area."

"The 1:1 training sessions were well structured and after assessing our abilities the Trainers put us through our paces and provided good technical feedback when our bad habits showed up."

"Will try to return on my next BKK trip if I'm up in the northern suburbs."

"I was an absolute beginner to Muay Thai and left feeling quite confident in being able to continue training back home. The trainers were very patient and made sure i was using the right technique. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything that was necessary. The location is perfect, very close to the shops, markets and massage parlours (the legit ones)"

"In Thailand it's hard to find a gym that treats all members equally. Many fighters, recreational or professional, tend to attend gyms where instructors neglect the average or less skilled, or at least give them far less attention. At Khongsittha in Bangkok everyone gets the proper attention; from the fighters, to the students, from the young, to the wise, everyone is important. "

    ""

"The gym is in excellent shape, clean and very well equipped, even for conditioning. They are well stacked to cater for your training needs, as well as for your need to acquire fight gear."

    ""

"The standard of the accommodation is well above what is the norm when it comes to gym accommodation or hostels in Thailand. Clean, well equipped rooms with all the amenities you could ask for. The one thing I missed in my room was a kettle to make coffee or tea whenever I needed. Other than that, Top Notch!"

"All around great gym. Very friendly staff and trainers. Other fighters there who were traveling through were also very nice people. This gym caters well to foreigners and makes you feel welcome. Their accommodations are excellent and will no doubt meet or exceed your expectations. Really glad I stayed with them while I was in Bangkok."

"Khongsittha is an amazing school to attend if you are looking for training while in Thailand. The Instructors were very good at accommodating the different levels of experience. The gym has amazing accommodations as well for staying over. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and spacious!! I met with Keith also and he was very friendly and informative. I definitely plan on going back for longer training next time. The statue outside makes it very easy to find!"

"We went as a group of 14 people to this place and had an amazing time. The coaches have lots of positive energy and are good at demonstrating the motions and getting you to sweat. There is a boxing ring, weights area, fitness area, and amazing locker rooms. This place can be lots of fun as a surprise event or as a weekly exercise or fitness routine 10/10 would recommend. There is a cafe next door which we didn't try but seemed to have great post-workout options."

"Really excellent gym! Big and spacious, well ventilated, clean gym and the bathroom is too awesome for a Muay Thai gym. Air conditioned, shower facilities is just too awesome. Trainers are good and dedicated, despite some not well versed in English, they are all very friendly and good. Fun place to train."

"After six weeks at Khongsittha, I can easily say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Everything about it was simply awesome, the facilities were outstanding, everything of top notch standard as you would expect from a professional gym. The trainers are fantastic and gave 100 percent, each showing me and teaching me better technique and ring craft. To put it simply the whole gym staff could not do enough to ensure I had the best of everything, even socialising at night with us during our downtime and showing off with their multiple talents of muay Thai by day and great solo guitars and singings by night. I will miss this place so much and would return without question at any time. So for anyone reading this, if you're looking for a good gym that offers the full package looking after all your needs, this is the place for you. It is a five star plus review from me there just wasn't enough stars to rate it."

"Well maintained, clean facilities, mats, and toilets were very clean with two rings, a couple dozen bags and mirrors front and centre of the training area. Trainers are welcoming and don't laugh at you too much. Played Justin Beiber while training and they all started dancing to it, which is why they got four stars instead of five. Highly recommend."
