Tamarindo Diria Resort is a stunning property with a boutique-y vibe with lush grounds, four-star accommodations, and friendly, welcoming staff. There are three pools, including two with swim-up bars, a tennis court, and massage services. Program

Fitness

Throughout the retreat, Coach Sarah will lead one to two daily workouts with a focus on high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and strength training using primarily your own body weight. Depending on the rest of the day's activities, some workouts will be more restorative or mobility-focused and others will be more strength and conditioning based. All levels are welcome and will be accommodated and safely challenged!

The exercises will be led by Sarah Gawron, and you will love them! Sarah is passionate about health and fitness. She teaches healthy habits to create a balanced lifestyle in and out of the gym. In order to create these positive rituals, Sarah will help you find your motivation or your “why”. Helping you find your “why” will help you become and stay motivated on your path to wellness.

By creating specific and personal goals, Sarah will guide you to tap into your fullest potential. She encourages those to trust their strength and ability in order to progress. Sarah focuses on building functional strength from the ground up by creating a strong foundation of movement quality before adding load. She specializes in kettlebell, barbell, and gymnastics strength and conditioning. Sarah believes everyone has the ability to move well with strength, power, and grace.

Itinerary

Wednesday, December 1

Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) and take a provided shuttle to the resort, the Tamarindo Diria. You'll check-in and then meet for introductions and a welcome stretch / body mapping at sunset. Tonight's included dinner will be at a delicious local restaurant in town!

Thursday, December 2

This morning you will kick off your morning workout with a strength class using just your own bodyweight followed by a nourishing breakfast overlooking the ocean waves. After some time to change or walk the beach, you'll depart for a zip-lining adventure through tree canopies - the ultimate adventure (and bonding experience)!

You'll return for a free afternoon to enjoy some lunch and free time and then come together once again in the late afternoon for a more restorative class with a focus on stretching and mobility. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy the sunset and get some dinner. Suggestion: Visit the Thursday Night Market in town for food, entertainment, and fun!

Friday, December 3

Today, you will work up your breakfast appetite with an optional beach jog followed by a total body interval training class overlooking the ocean. Then you'll have a fresh leisurely breakfast and a free day! Explore the town, soak up the sunshine or take a dip in the pool. In the afternoon you'll have a second workout and free night for dinner and optional salsa dancing!

Saturday, December 4

Kick off the morning with an invigorating strength and conditioning class and delicious breakfast. Then you'll have another free day, perfect for signing up for any extra excursions or pampering with a massage! In the afternoon, you'll come together for a second class and then enjoy a group dinner (included) at one of the best restaurants in town!

Sunday, December 5

This morning, you'll jump right into a high-intensity workout to jumpstart the day! You'll have breakfast and then a few hours to relax before heading down the beach to hop on a catamaran for an adventure day in the ocean!

You'll ride out into the Pacific, hopefully catching a glimpse of some whales or dolphins, and then you'll have time to jump in the water for snorkeling and swimming - and maybe an impromptu flow on the deck of the boat!

You'll have lunch provided on the excursion + open bar, and you will come back as the sun sets for a perfect view of the magic! A free night tonight.

Monday, December 6

Your final day will kick off with an early morning fitness class, some final remarks, and a nourishing breakfast. Then you will have time to take one last dip in the ocean, walk on the beach or stroll through town before departing for the airport with a healthy glow and a big smile!

Included excursions

There's so much to do in beautiful Costa Rica, and on this retreat, you will be exploring the country by land and by water! You'll go on a thrilling zip-lining excursion through the tree canopies with breathtaking scenery on one day, and on another you will relax with a beautiful sunset catamaran cruise, complete with snorkeling and an open bar! These activities are included but totally optional!

Your home for the retreat is the iconic Tamarindo Diria Resort, located in the heart of Tamarindo, a coastal town known for surfing, sunsets, and low-key beach vibes.
