Our training sessions

First time doing Muay Thai? JP's trainers will develop your skills from the ground up and will make you fall in love with this ancient sport. You'll learn the correct positions to place your body in for the various combat techniques using the eight contact points. You are given step by step teaching in the basics such as boxing stance and footwork, followed by different combinations.

Middle-classes and the more experienced fighters can expect to learn boxing skills like combinations, drills and more advanced techniques. We will also work on your stamina to get you fighting fit.

The training program covers all of the followings

  • Warm up (jump rope, circuit with the group or run 3 / 5 / 7 / 10 kilometers)
  • Shadow boxing
  • Muay Thai skills and techniques (basic to advanced)
  • Bag work and pad work
  • Strength and conditioning circuits
  • Abdominal and core strengthening workout at the end of every session
  • Cool down and stretching

Private sessions with our trainers

In the private training sessions we will work on your progress individually. Tell us what aspects you wish to work on, or let our trainers take the lead and give you the feedback and instructions you need to develop your skills rapidly.

On request we will teach you more, like:

  • Clinching
  • Sparring
  • Additional training elements for fighters

Note: the morning sessions are from 7:00 to 9:00 am. The afternoon sessions are from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, with an extra session at 6 pm - 7:30 pm.

Extra activities

Before the morning session we often go for a 3k-7k run at the river bank near the camp. A great way to work on your endurance while the neighbourhood slowly starts the day. Soak up the views and get yourself ready for a new full day of training.

Included is the Pagoda Mountain Challenge. Ancient warriors used to run up this mountain to pray to the God Pagoda and receive blessings. The workout is fun, the views are breathtaking, and JP Boxing Gym treats you to a rewarding breakfast at the temple too.

Master Moo


Phitsanulok is an important, historic city in lower northern Thailand and is the capital of Phitsanulok Province, which stretches all the way to the Laotian border. Phitsanulok is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, founded over 600 years ago.

It is best known as the birthplace of King Naresuan, who freed the country from Burmese domination in the late 16th century, and that of his brother and successor King Ekathosarot.

As the crossroad between the northern and central regions of the country, it has long been important both for political and strategic reasons and was fought over many times in centuries past. Phitsanulok was the capital of Thailand for 25 years during the reign of King Boromma Trailokanat of Ayutthaya.

On the banks of the Nan River, the city was originally a small Khmer outpost known as Song Kwae, before the Khwae Noi River changed its course in the 11th century CE. Phitsanulok was also a provincial center of the Angkorian Empire during the Angkorian period. Phitsanulok is home to Naresuan University and Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, as well as to a major Royal Thai Army base.

This cool cafe with its urban vibes serves up healthy twists on traditional Thai food. Sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while you browse the extensive menu. You can expect dishes such as Pad-Thai, green curry, stir-fry, and sweet and sour. Please let JP's know if you have any dietary requirements and these will be catered for.

JP's Sunday family day out

Guests have the opportunity to relax at one of the family's favorite locations: Sukhothai, the famous White Temple in Phetchabun, the local Nuaenmaprang or have fun at the waterfall and trying your hand at rafting if the season allows.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK). Transfer from and to these airports is available upon request. JP Boxing Gym can arrange for a private transfer to collect you from airport arrivals and bring you straight to the camp.

JP's driver can also collect you from the airport and take you to Mo Chit bus station, he will assist you in buying your ticket and make sure that you get the first class bus from Mo Chit to Phitsanulok.

Arrival by taxi

Take a taxi to Mo Chit bus station and get on the first class bus to Phitsanulok. Please ask for details on prices.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
