  • The western boxing coach has trained pro fighters to Olympic level!

Included excursions

Red Buddha Run

Weekly challenge to run or walk the red stone steps and hike through the mountain to visit our Chinese temple. After seeing the temple we continue to the top of the mountain to visit the ancient pagoda on King Naresuan the Great, Kind of Thailand, the first emperor to fight against Burma bringing independence back to Thailand.

Meeting monks

Picturesque lakes and rivers are a must-see. Join the pad work at the lakeside and get the unique opportunity to make offerings to monks and receive their blessings.

Sunday JP Family day out

Every Sunday, you have the opportunity to relax at one of JP's family's favorite locations, like:

  • The ancient temples and ruins of Sukhothai
  • The famous White Temple in Phetchabun
  • Swimming and chilling at the local lake
  • A trip to the waterfall
  • Trying your hand at rafting - if the season allows.
  • Visiting Chinese and Buddhist temples in the area

Night market

The city nightlife is vibrant and fun to experience. Once a week, you will be taken out to enjoy the night markets and all the great street food.

Temple tours

Phitsanulok has many beautiful temples to visit. JP team will personally take you to their favorite spots where you can enjoy some meditation and sightseeing.

Location

Phitsanulok is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, founded over 600 years ago. As the crossroad between the northern and central regions of the country, it has long been important both for political and strategic reasons and was fought over many times in centuries past. But don't worry, this town is currently very peaceful and relaxed - or 'sebai', as the Thai say.

This brand new camp is located on the edge of town in the nearby countryside, there are many beautiful locations to visit, have a read through the included trips for more information. The town center is a short trip away with bustling nightlife, markets, coffee shops, and spas.

Phitsanulok is one of the oldest cities in Thailand. There are many religious and sacred sites to visit as well as ancient ruins, museums, and national parks. Please ask the staff for details and do have a look at the excursion sections to see what's on offer.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by bus

From Morchit to Phitsanulok, the whole trip takes from four and a half hours to six hours. There are two bus stations in Phitsanulok. The smaller provincial bus station is located on route 12, two kilometers to the east of the city. The bigger one, Bo-Ko-So or Terminal 2, sits on the same route 12 but some 10 kilometers further east. When getting off the bus, check at which station you are. Old Bo-Ko-So in town (Thai: Bo-Ko-So - Kao) is near the PJ Muay Thai Gym).

Arrival by train

From Hua Lamphong, Bangkok to Phitsanulok, the northern line of the State Railway of Thailand, Bangkok-Chaing Mai, runs through Phitsanulok and trains take from six to seven hours to bring you to Phitsanulok.
