Training at JP's

JP Boxing Gym, Muay Thai camp in Phitsanulok, Thailand offers classes for beginners to professional fighters. The trainers have years of experience in the fight game and founder Kru.Jay has traveled the world learning and honing his skills not only as a world renowned fighter but also as a master trainer.

His vision and lifetime belief in the traditional teachings of Muay Thai boxing has made this gym Thailand's number one. For the seasoned fighter, they offer technique classes to hone already tested skills as well as strength and conditioning mixed with CrossFit to improve all round fitness. For the beginner’s class, trainers give step-by-step instructions on stretching, warming up, and basic technique.

Muay Thai

JP's trainers will develop your skills from the ground up with a step-to-step guide for technique. First you will learn the correct positions to place your body in for the various combat techniques like stand-up striking, clinching, and the eight contact points.

Western boxing

Again beginners are given step-by-step teaching in the basics such as boxing stance, basic footwork, and head movement. Middle-classes and the more experienced fighters will learn boxing skills, combinations, drills, and techniques in a specialist class.

Weight loss, rehabilitation, and relaxation

For those looking to reset and recharge, please take advantage of the personalized weight loss programs, take part in meditation sessions at the temples, yoga, relaxation times, swimming, and days out. This unique part of Thailand is a beautiful place to let go and delve into the more spiritual side of life as you explore ancient grounds and old temples and the beautiful countryside and mountains lend themselves to relaxation.

Something special

Wai Kroo / Ram Muay is a ritualistic and traditional dance carried out before Muay Thai fighters engage in the ring. The Wai Kroo is an act of respect to show honor to the opponent and his respective teacher. You will learn the Wai Kroo during your stay.

  • Warm up (jump rope or run 5 / 7 / 10 kilometers)

Included excursions

Running by the River Nan

The day starts early but it is worth it as you catch the pretty sunrise over the city of Phitsanulok. Jay and his team take the VIP guests down to the riverside for a specialized techniques class and varied fitness training. You are treated to a breakfast picnic before offering food to the local monks and receiving blessings, it is a very peaceful yet humbling experience. Local sightseeing at the vibrant morning markets follows before heading back to the homestead. It will be a full morning experience.

Sunday JP family day out

JP's guests have the opportunity to relax at one of their family's favorite locations, Sukhothai, the famous White Temple in Phetchabun, the local Nuaenmaprang, or having fun at the waterfall and trying your hand at rafting!

Run up the mountain challenge

Soak up the majestic views from the mountain top overlooking Phitsanulok's stunning countryside. Chase up the mountain side as the warriors of old once did and offer prayers to Pagoda, visit the ancient Chinese temple, join in with meditation before being taken for lunch at Alms Vegan Canteen.

This training will take place in Phitsanulok, Central Thailand.


Phitsanulok is an important, historic city in lower northern Thailand and is the capital of Phitsanulok Province, which stretches all the way to the Laotian border. Phitsanulok is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, founded over 600 years ago. It is best known as the birthplace of King Naresuan, who freed the country from Burmese domination in the late 16th century, and that of his brother and successor King Ekathosarot.

As the crossroad between the northern and central regions of the country, it has long been important both for political and strategic reasons and was fought over many times in centuries past. Phitsanulok was the capital of Thailand for 25 years during the reign of King Boromma Trailokanat of Ayutthaya.

On the banks of the Nan River, the city was originally a small Khmer outpost known as Song Kwae, before the Khwae Noi River changed its course in the 11th century CE. Phitsanulok was also a provincial center of the Angkorian Empire during the Angkorian period. Phitsanulok is home to Naresuan University and Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, as well as to a major Royal Thai Army base.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Transfer from this airport is available upon request for 4500 THB per person. You can also fly from Don Mueang Airport to Phitsanulok.

Arrival by bus

From Morchit to Phitsanulok, the whole trip takes from four and a half hours to six hours. There are two bus stations in Phitsanulok. The smaller provincial bus station is located on route 12, two kilometers to the east of the city. The bigger one, Bo-Ko-So or Terminal 2, sits on the same route 12 but some 10 kilometers further east. When getting off the bus, check at which station you are. Old Bo-Ko-So in town (Thai: Bo-Ko-So - Kao) is near the PJ Muay Thai Gym).

Arrival by train

From Hua Lamphong, Bangkok to Phitsanulok, the northern line of the State Railway of Thailand, Bangkok-Chaing Mai, runs through Phitsanulok and trains take from six to seven hours to bring you to Phitsanulok.
