This is a camp to break away from video games, cellphones, and digitized world by cultivating the connection with your own body. This camp will nurture the warrior attitude, a sense of discipline, courage, strength, loyalty, and a sense of belonging to a group. Rediscover the pleasure of playing and experimenting with your own body by improving your strength, thus learning not to give in at the first set backs, instead learn how to become constant and persistent towards set targets.
During this camp, you will be staying at Cascina Bellaria. The farmhouse is a classical Piemont style, newly renovated with the original structure and style dating back to the middle times of the nineteenth century. It is located in a quite hilly area of the countryside between Alessandria and Acqui Terme. All participants will stay in the Lotus Belle tent on cots with shared bathroom.
Far from the inhabitant center and from the main roads, it is surrounded by a quiet and relaxed atmosphere that follows the rhythm of nature. It is also an eco-conscious farm, producing organic vegetables, fruit, honey, jams, and preserves. It is a farm with vegetarian cuisine that promotes respect for nature and the earth in every aspect.
Foxes, deer, squirrels, wild boars, and many kinds of birds live in that countryside and very often they get close to the houses and to the small lake, which is located inside the property of the farmhouse.
The camp is aimed at boys and girls aged between 6 to 12 years old. During the camp, in a playful and joyful environment, you will have Muay Thai lessons, boxing
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (ground fighting), and yoga. You will also do many different activities: running, archery, tug of war, hiking (where you will experience balance and speed), hiking to the river, learning and working in a vegetable garden, and other various fun activities.
No parents are allowed. The children will be allowed to keep mobile phones only for one hour in the evening. During the boxing sessions, Thai box, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, body contact is considered. Some minor bruising has to be taken into account.
There will be several excursions during the camp, such as hiking to the river and to the hills.
