During the fitness retreat, you will stay at Condado de Alhama Resort. Built around a Jack Nicklaus Signature course, this setting is truly beautiful.

Condado de Alhama Resort is the base for Fitness Bootcamps Spain, which is nestled between the Sierra Espuña Mountain range and the golden sandy beaches of Puerto De Mazarrón which boasts a newly built marina and various shops, bars, and restaurants and not forgetting the beautiful beach of Bolnuevo.

Condado De Alhama Resort itself has various properties built around gardens with a shared pool. It boasts a fantastic town center with various bars, restaurants, a large supermarket, and pro golf shop. These are situated in an impressive ‘Moorish Square’ surrounding a huge water feature. In the evenings this square has various entertainments on offer.

The resort also has fantastic sports facilities with paddle tennis courts, full-size tennis courts, a multi-use basketball / 5-a-side football pitch, a fitness suite, and a gym. There is also a further restaurant / bar within these facilities.

You will share a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment. The kitchen and bathroom will be shared but you will have a bedroom each.

Fitness Bootcamp Spain does not expect anyone to share a room unless this is requested. You can have a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment to yourself, but this will incur an extra cost.

Program

Yoga

Yoga is a systematic practice of physical exercise, breath control, and relaxation. The practice entails low-impact physical activity, postures, breathing techniques, relaxation, and meditation.

Pilates

Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance.

Circuit training

Using an exclusive outdoor arena, this session is a low-weight high repetition workout. Moving around a circuit of 10 stations of lower and upper body exercises you will activate every muscle in your body. This is a fat-scorching cardio and strength training workout!

Boxercise

Boxercise is a non-contact training session that will involve punching pads and bags as well as cardio exercises such as skipping, shadow boxing, sit-ups, and crunches amongst others. This is all the training a boxer does to get super fit but without any contact.

Body pump

Body pump is a barbell and step workout designed to get you lean, toned, and fit. Focusing on high reps and low weight, body pump really is the ultimate calorie burning resistance training workout.

Gym sessions

During your stay, you can use our gym at your leisure. Or if you are looking for that extra push to reach your goals you can book a session with a personal trainer.

Step aerobics

Step aerobics is a choreographed routine of stepping up and down from the platform in different patterns. Step aerobics has all the benefits of a high-intensity cardio workout without putting stress on your joints. It improves overall fitness by building strength, reducing fat, and boosting your cardiovascular health.

Outdoor sessions

You will also be doing some of the exercise sessions in the outdoor arena, including boot camp-style workouts, HIIT workouts, TRX, walks, and running around this huge golf resort.

After your arrival

On arrival at the resort, you will be taken to your apartment where you will get time to unpack and relax for a while. The team will then take you for a look around the gym and outdoor exercise area where you will be doing most of your fitness sessions.

Whilst here, they will have a rundown of your stay i.e. daily timetable, meals, Condado, excursions.

Your measurements will then be taken: weight, arms, thighs, chest, waist. The team will also perform some fitness tests which they will then do again before you leave to compare them both.

A typical day at the camp (when staying in the resort)

  • 11:30 - 13:30 A variety of classes before lunch
  • 14:00 Lunch
  • 16:00 - 18:00 A variety of afternoon classes

Every morning, you start off with an early morning yoga session to stretch your muscles and ease you into training at 8:15. Sessions will take place in the outdoor fitness arena. Then it’s time for a healthy snack of fresh fruit and water.

After that, get ready to be pushed to your limits with circuit training, a high-intensity and strength training workout. Again the session will take place in the outdoor fitness arena.

You will then have a healthy breakfast consisting of fruit juice, water, tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, croissants, and eggs.

Enjoy a variety of classes before lunch. Afterward, you will then be taken to one of the local restaurants for a healthy buffet-style lunch.

In the afternoon, there will be a variety of afternoon classes. Then, enjoy dinner. The dinner will be a healthy buffet, again, in one of the local restaurants or barbecue style by the lake over at La Isla.

Included excursions

Hiking

Setting off from La Mariposa hotel in the heart of the Sierra Espuna, you will be walking through the Barrancos De Gebas to the reservoir of Algeciras. The Barrancos De Gebas is a lunar-type landscape of light chalk chasms that have been eroded by water over millions of years.

With this 10-kilometer walk through the Gebas and back you will take on some breathtaking scenery so get the cameras at the ready! A packed lunch will be provided.

Biking along the coast

The stunning coastline from Bolnuevo is very popular with local cyclists and mountain bikers. This ride has a succession of secluded bays, hidden coves, and huge, wide-open beaches. Mountain bikes and a picnic lunch on the beach are of course provided.

River rafting

This decline down the Segura River runs through one of the places of greatest ecological value in the region of Murcia.

You will be transported to the town of Blanca where you will be equipped with the necessary material for your activity. You will be taken upstream to the starting point at Cieza by coach or car.

Working as a team, you will then begin your descent down the river, stopping halfway for a snack and a drink, this will be a selection of baguettes and a soft drink or water. You will then continue down the river (with a few surprises along the way) back into the town of Blanca.

Spartan Fitness Centre

Enjoy mid-morning CrossFit at this great gym in stunning Puerto de Mazarrón, followed by lunch down at the port.

On days where you will be leaving the resort (hiking, coastal bike ride, Spartan, rafting) a packed lunch will be provided. On the Spartan Fitness visit, you will be eating lunch in Puerto de Mazarrón.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU) or Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC). Ideally, your flight will need to arrive at the airport on Sunday morning, and your flight home leaving after the holiday on Sunday afternoon.

The Fitness Bootcamp Spain team will pick up and drop off at 12 p.m. from Murcia international (RMU) or Alicante airports free of charge. Any arrivals after the 12 p.m. pickup will incur an extra charge of 50 EUR for RMU pickup and 80 EUR for Alicante pick up.

Some airlines that fly into those airports are RyanAir, EasyJet, Jet2.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 16.94% of the total price.
