Tourists who want to learn Shaolin Kung Fu but prefer to stay outside the school, can choose to stay at the nearby hotel. Meanwhile, students will be staying at rooms located within the school premises. Students will be sharing rooms with fellow students. Rooms can accommodate 2 to 3 students depending on the room sizes. Generally, there would be about 2 students per room. However, this depends on the number of students.

Usually during the summertime, there will be more students so short-term students might be required to share rooms. During these times the 2-3 students/room might apply. On the other hand, during autumn/fall and winter student population is lesser. During these times, the possibility for a student to own his/her own room without having to share it with someone is higher.

In addition, the accommodations come with:

Hot shower facilities

During medium term study, students will learn more in their training and classes. There will be history and theory study, punching and kicking with flexibility training, a more in-depth study of Qi Gong and Tai Chi, 5-14 Shaolin fist forms including paired practice, Ba Duan Jin, Yi Jin Jing, meditation, an animal form option, Qin Na, and Chinese kick boxing with two person sparring and more advanced weapons such as spear, double spear, two-section staff, three-section staff, double sticks, and double canes (tonfa).

More advanced levels of hard Qi Gong can be reached including breaking wooden staffs by your legs and arms with no injury.

"I had a great time at the Shaolin Temple School. I found that master very much pushed everyone to their full potential and focused not only on technique, but also the essence and intention behind the forms and movements as well as applications. I feel that finding the essence of the movements of Shaolin Kung Fu was the heart of the training, and I had a very good time pushing myself to find this intention and purpose on the Kung Fu training. I very much appreciated master’s willingness to push people’s abilities and have them learn new movements, techniques and forms, and that they are done properly and correctly. His energy and enthusiasm was inspiring and motivating.Thank you for the passion and love of China Kung Fu. The setting (inside the original Shaolin Temple on Song Mountain) and surroundings were ideal in supporting focused study and dedicated learning."

"This is the second time for me to study Kung Fu in China Shaolin Temple Kung Fu school. The thing that motivated me was to discover more about Chinese martial arts. My greatest gain from my martial arts training in traditional Shaolin Martial Arts Academy is that I was able to practice real Shaolin Kungfu. The masters, the students, the translator and all the staff helped me and influenced me during my period in the academy. My training was really hard and the atmosphere of the training was amazing. My life in the school was also good because the students in the school help me to live here. The master is great - he pushed me to my limits and created a good atmosphere in the group."

"China is the origin of Kung Fu, so I think there is no better place to learn Kung Fu than in China. There are many reasons why I came here, but the most important one is that I love China and I feel at home in China. So why not pick up Kung Fu? My two greatest gains are that I have met so many nice people and made new friends. I also learned to push myself and train hard. The people that helped me the most are the Shaolin warrior monk master, Rachel, and Rinesh. My master is an amazing and great teacher, but he’s also a cool person. Everyone likes him and respects him. During training I always pushed my self because I didn’t want to disappoint him. He helped me to train hard and I also love his son. Rachel is like the heart of the school. She is very nice and a very lovely person. She always tries to make everyone feel comfortable and happy. And if there is a problem you can talk to her. Shaolin Kung Fu Training here is very good, very effective, and exhausting. Time passed very fast. It was awesome. "

"Shaolin temple kung fu school was great. The training is hard but worth it because it gets you tougher, stronger, and faster. The food is good and the people are great because they treat you like a friend or family. The staff is great and I had a great time here. My favorite class is forms or acrobatics. The hard days are Thursday and Friday because of power training and mountain run but both are really fun. They taught me a lot and I am thankful. The master is really nice and he wants everyone to have fun and work hard. He will give you tips and try his best to teach you as much as he can. I am going to miss this place. I had a great time here thank you. The environment is good and the mountains are big and beautiful. Bring regular cloth because they will get dirty during training. The temple is awesome. Good place to learn kung fu."

"Last year I had an accident, which affected me a lot mentally. I needed to experience a change that would re-strengthen my mind and gain my confidence back. I have always wanted to study kung-fu and the perfect time had come for me to do so.After arriving at the China Shaolin temple kung fu school, I immediately loved the location. It was situated right next to where the majority of the Chinese students come to learn Shaolin Kung fu around Shaolin temple. Everyday, I was inspired by watching the children train with such passion and enthusiasm.I am really fond of my Shaolin master Lu. This is the first time Master Lu is teaching foreign students so he is making a lot of effort to constantly perfect our forms and ensure that each of his students are reaching their maximum potential in all areas of their training. He is also making a real effort to learn English. Already in two weeks, he has impressively picked up so much.In summary, the entire experience has fuelled my passion for kung fu. I would like to continue my training in the future. The place is perfect to learn traditional Shaolin kung fu. I would have loved to stay here longer."

"The kung fu training experiences in Shaolin temple kung fu school is very good. The shaolin kung fu training I underwent at the Shaolin temple reached my expectations. The training is both physically and mentally demanding. Also, the environment has a perfect atmosphere for training; we are located near the Shaolin temple on Song mountain. Life at the kung fu school is peaceful, free of distraction, and the food is good. The Shaolin Master enjoys training his students, and pushes them to reach their goals. "
