During the retreat, you will be staying at the Bali Lush Resort. The eco resort in Bali offers three gorgeous free-standing bungalows that include a perfect fusion of Indonesian architecture and modern western comforts. While passionate about providing an authentic experience, Bali Lush don’t believe you have to sacrifice the comforts of home.
The guest rooms include air conditioning, a mini bar, an in-room safe, flat screen televisions, and DVDs for those days you want to stay in. Antique teak lima sans and repurposed traditional rice storage cabins offer accommodation for up to 14 guests over four rooms. The Frog bungalow is the very first cabin on the property, this repurposed gladak (rice storage hut) accommodates two guests in a queen bed or two single beds.
For this retreat, there will be a brief description of the yoga program. You will experience a traditional Balinese yoga, a form of Hatha yoga while you are in this retreat. There will also be a practice of Indonesian martial arts called 'silat', cake meditation, and free time for you to relax, enjoy swimming at the pool, or explore the surrounding.
Yoga, silat, and guided meditation will be held at Bali Trees Yoga Retreat, a five-minute scooter or car ride away. You will be dropped off and picked up for each session. Check in time is 2 p.m. onwards and first class will take place at 4:30 p.m. on that day.
There will be daily guided morning walks through the village before breakfast during this retreat.
The retreat will take place in Bali, Indonesia. Bali Lush is located two-hours drive north of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). It is the perfect way to discover the Real Bali without sacrificing on comfort. They are located in a traditional farming village called Manikyang, on the lower slopes of Mount Batu Karu, in the Tabanan Province; known as the Rice Bowl of Bali.
The village is made up of 100% Balinese-Hindu families. Most families farm the land producing rice, cacao, cloves, bananas, coconuts, and other tropical fruits. They also farm livestock such as cows, pigs, chickens, and ducks. There are no mini-marts, restaurants, clubs or spas in the area, just a 100% authentic Balinese Hindu farming village. If you are looking to get away from the madding crowds, then Bali Lush is for you.
You will be served with daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Desserts and soft drinks, juices, and alcohol are not included and are an additional charge. First meal is dinner on arrival day and last meal is lunch on departure day. Drinking water, Bali coffee, and Lipton tea are available all day in your dining room and guest room free of charge
The staff makes fresh bread daily and many other bakery treats such as crumpets, sweet breads, and cakes. Coconut milk and spice pastes are also made fresh for authentic Balinese, Indonesian, and Thai dishes. Western, gluten free, and vegan options are also available.
You can enjoy daily walks through rice terraces to nearby waterfalls and be greeted by the friendly Balinese as they go about their daily lives.
Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. The price is 500.000 IDR per person one way. It is strongly recommended to use one of their drivers to get to and from Bali Lush. The roads surrounding Bali Lush can be difficult to navigate as there are no road names or signs. All of Bali Lush's drivers know the way.
If you decide you will use another driver, have the driver call Bali Lush when you are on your way on their house phone. It is absolutely essential that you either use their driver or call them on the day before you depart to come here. Drivers who have never been here before get lost and they don't want you to spend extra hours in the car when you could be here enjoying your retreat.
