Beginners' Wrestling Training Camp in Canada

Join Alberta Amateur Wrestling in their summer wrestling training camp held at a picturesque location. You will be teaming with other same age athletes, train wrestling extensively, and enjoy the beautiful and natural setting. The camp is for all youths aged 13 to 18.

Accommodation

Accommodation at the camp are open dormitory style at the Jasper Recreational Center. Campers will room with other athletes of the same age and gender.

One day of the camp will be designated as Activities Day, during which extra fun activities will be held such as Pillow Fight, Take down tournament, Amazing Jasper race, and Hard Rock club award.

Location

Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies comprises a vast wilderness area of Alberta province defined by glaciers, lakes and peaks like 11,033-ft.-high Mt. Edith Cavell. The Icefields Parkway, a road from the town of Jasper, passes subalpine forest and the immense Columbia Icefield. Outdoor activities like hiking, camping and skiing are popular. Native wildlife includes elk, moose, bighorn sheep, and bears.

How to get there

The Edmonton and Calgary Wrestling Associations will offer return transportation to and from the camp departing from Edmonton and Calgary. If you arrive in Jasper by train or buses, the camp staff will pick you up at the train/bus terminal and take you to the camp destination.

Please contact Alberta Amateur Wrestling Association if you want to arrange pick-up and drop-off from Edmonton, Calgary, or Jasper terminals.
